Description

SPEAKER MOUNTING DEVICE IN LOUD-SPEAKER TELEPHONE SET The present invention relates to a speaker mounting device in a loud-speaker telephone set to be used for general purposes and/or for automobiles.
Figure 1 is a sectional view of a conventional speaker mounting device in a loud-speaker telephone set which is disclosed, for example, in Japanese Utility Model Laid Open No 106254/84. In the same figure, the reference numeral 1 denotes a housing, which comprises a housing body 2 as an upper cover and a bottom plate 3 fixed to the housing body 2 with a mounting bolt 4. In the interior of the housing body 2, a receptacle portion 5 is formed in the front portion, in which is accommodated a microphone 6 for transmission, while in the rear portion of the housing body 2 is held a speaker body 8 in a sandwiched fashion between the housing body and the bottom plate 3, with a speaker 7 for reception being attached to the speaker box. An elastic piece 9, eg rubber piece, is fitted in between the housing body 2 and an upper surface 8a of the speaker box 8.Further, four elastic pieces 10, eg rubber pieces, are fitted in between the bottom plate 3 and the four corners of an underside 8b of the speaker box 8.
Thus, the speaker box 8 is held between the housing box 2 and the bottom plate 3 through the elastic pieces 9 and 10, so the vibration from the speaker box 8 induced by the operation of the speaker 7 is absorbed by the elastic pieces 9 and 10 and is difficult to be transmitted to the housing body 1.
In such conventional speaker mounting device in a loudspeaker telephone set, however, since the speaker 7 is received in the speaker box 8 and the speaker box is held grippingly by both the housing body 2 and the bottom plate 3 through the elastic piece 9 on the upper surface of the speaker box and the four elastic pieces 10 on the four corners of the underside of the same box, the construction is complicated and the assembling operation is troublesome.
In view of the foregoing, it is an object of the present invention to provide a speaker mounting device in a loudspeaker telephone set simple in construction and improved in assemblability.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a speaker mounting device in a loud-speaker telephone set for superior in accuracy and performance to like devices available at present and which can be manufactured relatively inexpensively.
According to an aspect of the present invention, for achieving the above-mentioned objects, there is provided a speaker mounting device in a loud-speaker telephone set in which a flange portion of a speaker is fitted and held in an annular groove formed in an inner peripheral portion of a rubbery elastic holder, and the elastic holder is mounted within an upper body of a hand-free adapted.
In the present invention, as stated above, the elastic holder which holds the flange portion of the speaker in the annular groove formed therein is mounted within the upper body of the hand-free adapter, thus permitting simplification of a vibration-proof construction; besides, the speaker is incorporated in the upper body and this mounting work is done through an assembly line separate from that for a lower body, thus permitting improvement of not only productivity but also accuracy and performance.
The above and further objects and novel features of the invention will more fully appear from the following detailed description when the same is read in connection with the accompanying drawings. It is to be expressly understood, however, that the drawings are for purpose of illustration only and are not intended as a definition of the limits of the invention.
Figure 1 is a sectional view of a principal portion of a housing, showing a conventional speaker mounting device in a loud-speaker telephone set; Figure 2 is a construction diagram of a loud-speaker telephone set provided with a speaker mounting device according to an embodiment of the present invention; Figure 3 shows the speaker mounting device in the loudspeaker telephone set embodying the invention, in which [A] is a plan view of an upper body of a hand-free adapter illustrated in Figure 2, [B] is a sectional view taken on line III-III in [A], and [C] is a bottom view of [B]; and Figure 4 shows the speaker mounting device in the loudspeaker telephone set embodying the invention, in which [A] is a front view of an elastic holder illustrated in Figure 2, [B] is a bottom view of [A], and [C] is a sectional view taken on line IV-IV in [B].
A preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail hereinunder with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Embodiment 1 Figure 2 illustrates a schematic construction of a loudspeaker telephone set provided with a speaker mounting device according to the present invention. In the same figure, the numeral 10 denotes a hand-free adapter, which comprises a speaker 13, an upper body 11 with a charger (not shown), etc accommodated therein, and a lower body 12 with a circuit board, etc received therein. Numeral 15 denotes a portable telephone set capable of being carried if necessary, with a connecting cord 16 being attached thereto detachably. And numeral 17 denotes a microphone capable of being attached to and detached from the hand-free adapter 10.
Figure 3 illustrates the upper body 11 of the hand-free adapter 10. A mounting plate 19 formed of a synthetic resin material is mounted by fitting in the interior of an upper housing 18 which is also formed of a synthetic resin material. Numeral 20 denotes a rubbery elastic holder formed of silicone rubber (hardness: HsA30), and a flange portion 13a of the speaker 13 is fitted in and held by an annular groove 20a formed in an inner peripheral portion of the holder 20. Numeral 21 denotes a retainer which presses part of the elastic holder 20 and is mounted to the mounting plate 19 with mounting bolts 22. A charger is disposed within the front portion of the upper housing 18, and a battery 23 of the portable telephone set 15 is charged by the charger by removing it from the telephone set and insertion into the charger as indicated by a chain line.Numeral 24 denotes a coupling rod having one end portion embedded in the upper housing 18. In the lower body 12 indicated by a chain line a lower housing 25 formed of a synthetic resin is registered with the lower portion of the upper housing 18 then both are coupled together using a coupling bolt 26.
The elastic holder 20 is illustrated in Figure 4. The flange portion 13a of the speaker 13 is fitted in and held by the annular groove 20a formed in the inner periphery of the elastic holder 20. A cut in portion 20b is formed in part of the outer periphery of the elastic holder 20 and it is brought into engagement with an engaging lug 19a (see Figure 3) formed on the mounting plate 19 and is supported thereby. Part of the lower surface of the elastic holder 20 is formed as a pressing face 20c, which is pressed by the retainer 21, for fixation to the mounting plate 19.
Description is now directed to the operation. A received voice signal from the portable telephone set 15 is transmitted to the hand-free adapted 10 and is outputted as voice from the speaker 13 through an amplifier circuit, etc provided within the hand-free adapter. On the other hand, a transmitted voice signal is delivered from the microphone 17 connected to the hand-free adapter 10, to the portable telephone set 15 through mike, amplifier circuit, etc disposed in the interior of the hand-free adapter 10. In this way there is constituted a loud-speaker telephone set which permits telephone call without using a hand.
As set forth above, the speaker 13 is held by the elastic holder 20, and the elastic holder is mounted to the mounting plate 19, using an engaging means and a mounting means which comprises the retainer 21. The mounting plate 19 is fixed by fitting into the upper housing 18.
Under this construction, the vibration of the speaker 13 is mostly absorbed by the elastic holder 20.
Although in the above embodiment the elastic holder 20 is mounted to the upper housing 18 through the mounting plate 19, it may be mounted directly to the upper housing 18.
Thus, according to the present invention, since the speaker is inserted into a rubbery elastic holder and is held thereby and the elastic holder is mounted within the upper body, the construction is simplified, resulting in that not only the assembling work efficiency is improved but also improvement is attained in the speaker mounting accuracy and performance.
