Description
PNEUMATIC WRENCH SUSPENDING CARRI5vR The present invention relates to a pneumatic wrench suspending carrier which has a suspender to hold a suspension wire which is controlled by a winder and used in suspending a pneumatic wrench permitting it to be conveniently operated with minium labor during otor vehicle repair work.
Before removing a car tiro fro the france of a car during a repair work, the nuts on the wheel bolts which fi â wheel rtn in place should he unfastened firstly. n suitable tool is required t3 unfasten the nuts from the wheel bolts.
pneumatic wrench is a device designed for this purpose. A pneumatic wrench for use in unfastening big nuts nay be as heavy as 2C s. - It is nct easy to hold such a heavy pneumatic wrench for a long length of time.
The present invention has been accomplished in view of the aforesaid circumstances. It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a pneumatic wrench suspending carrier which has means to suspend a pneumatic wrench making it to be easy tn operate with minimum labor.
According to one aspect of the present invention.
a pneumatic wrench suspending carrier is generally comprised a hollow base having wheels for moving, a suspender supported on said base at the top, a suspension wire inserted through said suspender and controlled by a winder to suspend a pneumatic wrench through a hook, wherein said winder is comprised of a wire reel controlled by a spiral spring to automatically take up said suspension wire.
According to another aspect of the present invention, the suspender is comprised of a suspension rod fastened in a supporting rod at the top, wherein the rotating range of the suspension rod on the supporting rod is confined by a key within to spaced blocks on the top edge of the supporting rod.
According to still another aspect of the present invention, the suspender has a handle attached thereto at a suitable location, by which the carrier can be conveniently moved from place to place.
An embodiment of the present invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a pneumatic wrench suspending carrier embodying the present invention;
Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view thereof;
Fig. 3 is a side sectional view thereof;
Fig. 4 illustrates the use of the present invention in suspending a pneumatic wrench for operation; and Fi. 5 illustrates that the pneumatic wrench which suspended from the suspension wire is held in the tube on t.;e rack. when it is no in use.
Referring to the various drawings attached herewith, a detailed descrtption of the tructural features of "P@e@matic ranch Suspending Carrier" of the present nvention is as follows:
Referring to Fig. 1 there in illustrated is a pneumatic wrench suspending carrier embodying the present inventIon and generally comprised a hollow base 1, a suspender 3 supported on said base 1 at the top, a suspension wire 4 inserted through said suspender 3 and controlled by a winder 2 inside said base 1.
Referring to Figs. 2 and 3, the base 1 is made from a hollow block having an opening at a back side covered with a cover II, two wheels 13 at two opposite lateral sides, a plurality of hooks 12 at the top for holding a variety of sockets 52, and a rack 12 extending outwards at a front side for keeping fixing accessories which are detached from a motor vehicle during a repair work, wherein the bottom edge of the rack 12 is disposed in flush with the bottom edge of the base 1 to stably support the carrier on the ground.
The rack 12 has a hand-hold 122 at an outer side, by which the carrier can be conveniently pushed and pulled, and a tube 121 at one lateral side for holding a tool. The winder 2 is comprised of a wire reel 21, a spiral spring 22, and Ushaped frame 23. The wire reel 21 of the winder 2 has an axle hole 210 through the central axis thereof, a spiral groove 211 around the peripheral surface thereof for winding the suspension wire 4. The spiral spring 22 includes an axle 221 at the center. By inserting the axle 221 into the axle hole 210, the spiral spring 22 is connected to the wire reel 21. The U-shaped frame 23 has two bolt holes 232 at two opposite ends for fastening to the inner wall of the hollow base 1 by screws 231, and an axle hole 233 at the center for holding the axle 221 of the spiral spring 22 by a bearing 234.After the installation of the winder 2 inside the hollow base 1, the cover l is covered on the hollow base I and secured by screws 111. The suspender 3 is consisted of a suspension rod 31 and a supporting rod 32. The suspension rod 31 and the supporting rod 32 are respectively made from hollow tubes, wherein the suspension rod 31 is relatively thinner and fastened in the supporting rod 32 at the top.The suspension rod 31 has a hook 315 at one end to hold a pulley wheel 316, a key 311 at an opposite end, a plurality of slots 312 spaced from one another suitable locations, and a plurality of rollers 3'4 resvec L ely fastened in the slots 312 by pins 313. The supporting rod 32 has to spaced stop blocks 321 raised from the outer wall adjacent to the top end thereof to confine the rotating angle of the suspension rod 31, a handle 33 attached hereto at a suitable location by which the carrier is carried with the hands, and an U-plate 341 and a tube seat 34 two opposite ends for holding a tire lever 6.Once the suspension rod 31 is fastened in the supporting rod 32 at the top. the key 311 of the suspension rod 31 is retained at the outside of the supporting rod 32 between the two stop blocks 321 of the supporting rod 32. It is most preferable that the stop blocks 321 are so spaced from each other that the suspension rod 31 is confined to rotate on the supporting rod 32 within a 45angle. The suspension wire 4 which may be made from a steel rope has one end secured to and wound on the wire reel 21 and an opposite end inserted through the supporting rod, the rollers 314 in the suspension rod and the pulley wheel 316 on the hook 315 and terminated into a loop 41.
Referring to Fig. 4, a S-shaped hanger 42 is hung on the loop 4 of the suspension wire 4 to hold a pneumatic wrench 5. By hanging a hand-hold 5i of the pneumatic wrench 5 on the S-shaped hanger 42, the pneumatic wrench 5 is suspended from the suspension wire 4 for convenient operation with minimum labor during a motor vehicle repair work.
When the carrier is moved to a job-site, it is stably supported on the ground by the base 1 and the rack 12.
Referring to Fig. 5, the output terminal of the pneumatic wrench 5 is inserted in the tube 121 on the rack 12 when it is not in use, and then, the carrier can be moved from place to place by means of the wheels 13.
