Abstract

An improved directory panel comprises rectangular plates 1 provided with grooves 4 along the larger sides thereof, in whose ends are located elements 5 and 8, e.g retractable spring biased ball devices or fixed taps for coupling into longitudinal grooves 6 of side profiles 7, which are fastened to a frame 15. Numerous plates 1 can be placed between the side profiles 7; fastening the top and bottom plates with stop pieces 9. The plates can incorporate guides (22 Figure 3) upon their front surfaces 2 to house display boards (23). The frame 15 can be coupled to a support plate 16 and hung from suitable support means; it can also be attached to a wall. <IMAGE>

Description

IMPROVED DIRECTORY PANEL FOR INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SIGNALLING OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present invention, as is expressed in the title of this specification, refers to an improved directory panel for interior and exterior signalling, the same being able to be placed directly on a wall, on suitable support columns or also on a plate hanging from tension pieces or the like, tied at the top by the free ends thereof.
The directory panel is basically comprised of some rectangular plates that are coupled sideways in some profiles, which in turn fit in a support frame fastened in a foreseen place. The desired signalling will be placed on the front surfaces of the plates. The plates are capable of including some guides in their front surface to house some boards that incorporate the desired signalling.
When there is a lot of signalling information, a frame with twice as much amplitude is assembled, in such a way that in the center of the same a separating profile to assemble two rows of plates is coupled.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The improved directory panel for interior and exterior signalling that comprises the object of the invention is formed from a series of rectangular plates of different heights, the front surface being flat and the rear surface being provided, all along its larger sides with both manifolds or grooves that house, next to each smaller side, a retractable ball device and pushing spring by means of which the coupling of each plate in some side profiles provided with a longitudinal groove where the balls fit is attained. Said retractable device can be replaced in one of the ends of the plate by a fixed tap provided with a stub that is inserted in the corresplonding groove of the side profile. According to this arrangement, first of all the side of the plate provided with fixed taps will be fit in and afterwards pressure is put on the opposite side.
The coupling of the end plates placed between the side profiles is done by means of some stop pieces that penetrate in the groove and in the guides of the side profiles, being preferably fit by some Allen screws, which prevents unauthorised personnel from being able to remove said plates. The side profiles are connected by means of screws or the like to a frame, while the latter is coupled to a wall, a hanging plate, etc.
There is the possibility that the plates have some longitudinal guides for housing signalling boards, thus preventing this from being done directly on the front surface of the boards, thus making it easy to interchange them.
A separating profile of plates that is inserted centrally and vertically in a frame twice as ample has been foreseen, in such a way that two rows of plates can be assembled.
To provide a better understanding of this specification and as an integral of the same a series of figures in which with an illustrative and non-restrictive nature the object of the invention has been represented, is attached hereto.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Figure 1.- It is an exploded perspective view of the improved directory panel for interior and exterior signalling, object of the invention. Several forms of fastening the panel are shown.
Figure 2.- It is a perspective view of a plate separator.
Figure 3.- It is a perspective view of a plate provided with some guides for housing a signalling board.
DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT Making reference to the numbering used in the figures, the improved directory panel for interior and exterior signalling is comprised of some rectangular plates (1), whose front surfaces (2) are flat, while the rear ones (3) are provided with some manifolds (4) or grooves all along the larger sides, in such a way that in the ends thereof and in correspondence with each smaller side, there is a retractable ball device and pushing spring, by means of which the detachable assembly of the plates (1) in the longitudinal grooves (6) of some side profiles ()7) is achieved. The possibility of coupling in the ends of the manifolds (4) of one of the smaller sides some taps (8) with both stubs in order to fit in the groove (6) of one of the side profiles (7) has been foreseen, in such a way that in the coupling of the plates (1), the stubs of the taps (8) will be inserted first of all, and afterwards the opposite side will be pushed on, thus inserting the balls of the retractable devices (5) into the groove (6) of the side profile (7.) Numerous plates (1) of different heights can be placed between the two side profiles (1), in such a way that for the fastening of the end plates (1), as can be seen in figure 1, some stop pieces (9) which penetrate into the ends of one of the grooves (4) and in the grooves (6) of the side profiles (7)have been foreseen.
The stop pieces (9) lock together with the latter, preferably by means of some Allen screws (10), which prevents unauthorised personnel from being able to remove the plates (1.) Besides, the stop pieces (9) have some flat wings (11) that are seated on the bottom (12) and top (13) ends of the side profiles (7.) They are fastened by means of some screws or some other similar element, to a frame (15), in turn the latter is also joined by the same screws (14) to a support plate (16) hanging from some tension pieces (17), the same being able to fasten to another frame (15) by its opposite surface, inside of which the corresponding plates (1) fit in the side profiles (7) are included.
The directory panel is fastened by means of the tension pieces (17) as it has already been stated. It can also be done directly on a wall in some plugs included in the same, where some screws coupled in a wing (18) joined to the support plate (16) will be housed. It is also possible to fasten the same to the wall by means of screws (14), eliminating of course, one of the frames (15.) The different parts of the frames (15) are connected at their corners by means of some pieces (19) with the shape of a right angle and some connecting elements.
When it is necessary to have a large amount of signalling information, it will be necessary to incorporate a high number of plates (1) within the frames (15), for which purpose it has been foreseen that the frames have twice as much amplitude, in such a way that right in the center and parallel to the side profiles (7) a "T"-shaped profile (20) shown in figure 2 and provided in both surfaces of the vertical branch, with both opposite grooves (21) and similar to the ones of the cited side profiles (7) will be coupled. The different plates (1) adjust between the separating profile (20) and the respective side profile (7.) As is shown in figure 3, the plates (1) are capable of incorporating some guides (22) upon the front surface (2) thereof and arranged all along the larger sides, which are to house some informative signalling boards (23), thus preventing from including the information directly on the front surfaces of the plates which is less convenient and less practical, aside from that by means of the boards (23) it is very easy to change information very quickly.
