Abstract

A lightweight Portable Gun Stand is used to support a shooters gun while not in use. This ensures the safety of the idle gun and also protects the gun from damage. The stand comprises an alloy tube extending upwardly from a base plate. The base plate is provided with projections which can be pushed into the ground and with a support for the gun stock on its upper surface. The upper end of the alloy tube is provided with a support for the gun barrel and with a handle. <IMAGE>

Description

This invention relates to a Lightweight Portable Gun Stand.
A Lightweight Portable Gun Stand is for idle shot-guns ie; when not in use, when for example a person is Clay, Game, Pigeon and Clay Pigeon shooting.
The Portable Gun Stand invention is of a lightweight alloy tube, which supports the gun on which a Hardwood Handle, Barrel and Stock Support are fixed by 3/4" (2 cm) Self Tapping Screws. The Lightweight Portable Gun Stand is able to "stand" by welding foot and base plate to the Alloy Tube, on which 1 x h" (0.5 cm) Support Rods are Hammer Welded either side.
A specific description of the invention will now be give accompanied by a drawing; Fig I :- Complete Lightweight Portable Gun Stand.
Fig Ia:- Alloy Tube-Main Support.
Fig Ib:-1 x h" (0.5 cm) thick Base Plate-This Supports the stock and is also used to enable to push into the ground.
Fig Ic:- 2 x h" (0.5 cm) Support Rods-These are pushed into the ground and consequently together with the Alloy Tube support the frame.
Fig Id:-Hardwood Gun Stock Support-This supports the Gun Stock.
Fig Ie:-Hardwood Handle and Barrel Support-The hardwood handle enables the frame to be carried and the Barrel Support,supports the barrel of the gun together with Fig I d.

Claims (6)

  1. A Lightweight portable Gun Stand comprises a main support on which a hardwood handle and barrel support are fixed to the top and a hardwood gun stock which is attached to a base plate with support rods which are welded either side of and to the bottom.
  2. 2) The gun stand hardwood handle as in Claim 1 is for carrying, therefore terming this Lightweight frame Portable.
  3. 3) The gun stand barrel support as in Claim 1, is for supporting the barrel of a gun and is attached with screws together with the hardwood handle as in Claim 2.
  4. 4) The gun stand hardwood gun stock as in claim l,is to support the stock of the gun when used together with the barrel support as in claim 3.
  5. 5) The gun stand base plate as in claim 1 takes the weight of the whole gun which is supported by and attached to the main support by welding,as in claim 1, hardwood handle as in claim 2,barrel support as in claim 3 and the hardwood gun stock as in claim 4.
  6. 6) The gun stand support rods as in claim l,are to be pushed into the ground and are attached to the base plate by welding as in claim 5,which is in turn attached to the gun stock claim 4,barrel support claim 3 and hardwood handle claim 2.
