Abstract

A carrybag comprises a main body 7, two or more solid pockets 6, straps or clips 8 where other incidentals such as an umbrella maybe attached as required, and a carrying strap 2 and handle 3. When the concaved base 9 of the main body 7 is rested on the ground, the bag user such as a sports spectator may sit on the solid or cushioned removable lid 1 of the body 7 with his feet resting on solid or cushioned lids 4 of the pockets 6, or may stand on the lids 4. <IMAGE>

Description

UNIVERSAL SPORTS SPECTATOR CARRYBAG AND FOOTSTOOL This invention relates to a universal sport spectator carrybag and footstool.
The orovisions available for most sport spectators in the past have been limited to standing space and/or seating.
wor those having to make good with standing space, a clear view of the sporting action is not always obtained as fellow spectators will invariably gather on mass, centered around the main attraction.
or example during a golf tournament, the spectators will invariably stand five or six deep around a "green" at anyone time. This clearly causes a certain amount of frustration having to squeeze in, stand on tiptoes or an other activity to obtain a better view.
The spectator will equally wish to carry certain articles of food or drink items or additional clothing which are normally carried in a separate capacity.
The example given above relating to golf tournaments is of Darticular relevance to the invention, whilst many other sporting spectators will benefit from it.
According to the present invention, it enables safe and easy storage of drink, food items, additional clothing, umbrellas and other incidentals, whilst is light weight and comfortable to carry.
When placed upright, its design and strength enables the invention to be used as both a seat and a foot stool, in order to relieve the problem as stated above for spectators who have arrived on anv one spot on mass around a center of attraction and will thus provide both a more comfortable position for viewing and a clearer view of the action during the game.
Cont'd The design is such that practically when stood upright the base has been so designed to provide maximum strength and stability in order that when being used as a footstool on uneven ground and slight gradients, it is not prone to wobble. Whilst the physical appearance may take on similar looks to equipment already used in that sport, for example golf - a golf carry bag, which will provide that all imDortant additional desirable element.

The make up of the invention maybe by use of rivets, glue or any other form of sound attachment.

Claims (8)

1. R universal sports spectator carrybag and footstool, comprising either a tubular, square or rectangular center stand with two or more either tubular, square or rectangular solid pockets attached to the base, a carry strap and handle attached to the main body, clips or straps attached to the same for the carrying of other incidentals, e.g. umbrella.
Solid or cushioned lids to both the center body and pockets with a concaved base plug.
2. A universal sports spectator carrybag and footstool, as claimed in claim 1 that is lightweight and comfortable to carry.
3. A universal sports spectator carrybag and footstool, as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2, where once placed upright maybe used as a seat.
4. A universal sports spectator carrybag and footstool, as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 or claim 3 that may be used as a multi-purpose storage vessle.
5. A universal sports spectator carrybag and footstool, as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 or claim 3 or claim 4 that when placed upright may be used as a footstool.
6. A universal sports spectator carrybag and footstool, as claimed in claim 1 or claim 3 or claim 5, where the design of the base provides the strength and stability to use on uneven surfaces.
7. A universal sports spectator carrybag and footstool, as claimed in claim 1 where the cosmetic design maybe such to represent an item already associated with any given sport.
8. A universal sports spectator carrybag and footstool, substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1-5 of the accompanying drawings.
