Abstract
A ribbon or braid is attached to the back of a button, pin, or badge which can be pinned to the lapel or clothing. A safety pin is attached to the free end of the ribbon, braid or bookmark. This invention allows the safety pin to dangle from the lapel of a person so it can easily be used to thread, collect and display tokens on, such as sequins, which are awarded to the person, when giving them positive reinforcement. <IMAGE>
Description
DISPLAY HOLDER FOR TOKENS
This invention relates to a device that can display and collect tokens, either worn on the person or collected on a 'bookmark.' The Specification
The device can be pinned to the clothing or lapel, by way of a button fig.l, pin fig.2, safety pin fig. 3, bookmark fig.4, or a badge..
A ribbon or braid is glued to the back of the button, pin, or badge and has a safety pin attached to the other end of it. This invention enables the dangling safety pin to be o17 used6 particularly by pupils and students to thread, collect and display the awarded tokens on.
The Description
The device is used to produce desirable behaviour in the wearer or subject through direct extrinsic reinforcement.
The tokens can be made of anything that will thread onto a safety pin such as a sequins, spangles or beads.
Once a designated number have been awarded, they are exchanged for a consumable or treat.
A feature is that a range of different coloured or shaped tokens are used to represent the tens system, so very large numbers of tokens may be awarded to the subject.
This allows the coloured tokens to be recycled so only nine of each colour are needed per subject. This encourages many more tokens to be awarded, in a group situation, thus dramatically increasing the effectiveness of the extrinsic positive reinforcement, particularly in a classroom or home situation.
Claims (1)
- The ClaimThe novelty of the invention is that the subject, being given the tokens or manipulatables, can easily add them to the others awarded, on the dangling safety pin, thus keeping them safe and on display
