Abstract

A paper fastener fabricated principally from plastics comprises a base (2) having prongs (10) which project through holes in a stack of papers to engage into a channel (4). A slide (6) inserted into the channel has cam formations (26) which push the prongs (10) against the base of the channel whereby to cause locking engagement of transverse serrations (12, 20) on the prongs and channel base so as to prevent withdrawal of the prongs from the channel when under load.
