Abstract

An appliance plugged into the socket of a mains supply extension cable can be turned on and off by means of a push and release switch looped into the socket and operated by foot or knee pressure on a cover hinged to a base housing the switch. A coil spring urges the cover to the release position. <IMAGE>

Description

FOOT OR KNEE OPERATED SWITCH CONTROL For all types of DIY and other appliances up to 240 volt.
Switch control consist of and operate No 1 Standard 13 amp plug round or square pin which when plugged into main supply will transfer through a 3 core wire (± and =) Positive, Negative and Earth to No 2 socket for appliance supply 13A Standard Socket Positive wire connected to Positive terminal Earth to Earth.
Terminal Negative wire connected to No 3 Push and Release switch Terminal N1. From Terminal N2 wire return to socket for appliance supply Negative Terminal.
Push switch encased into a base. On the base is a cover secured by hinge between cover and box is a coiled spring for cover release purpose Push down cover and electric circuit is completed appliance starts to work.
Release and appliance stops.

  1. SWITCH 1. Can be used with all types of 240 volt power tools when fixed into power tool bench.
  2. 2. Quick and simple On / off switch operation.
  3. 3. Greater safety as you are able to use both hands at all times.
  4. 4. Eliminates necessity of panic bar or button.
