Abstract

A duct cover (10) for covering a manhole or other access hole over a drain, pipe, stopcock, cable, sewer or septic tank comprises a compartment having drainage holes (30) to allow grass or plants to be grown therein so that the cover is unobtrusive. The cover is received in a frame (12) having lower ledge(s) (14) and a seal (96), and fixing holes (90). The compartment has sloping sidewalls (21) and a ledge (32), together with strengthening ribs (26, 98).
