Abstract
A method for identifying an individual member of a species of organism comprises analyzing the DNA of the organism in respect to the presence or absence in the genome of one or more polymorphic enzyme sites and based on the comparison of these results to the presence or absence of one or more polymorphic enzyme sites in the DNA of one or more comparative members of the species, so characterizing the individual member of the species.
