Abstract

Harrows; rollers, land; multiple-tool and rotary-tool implements; lifting; tools; wheels, arrangement of.-An implement for pulverizing soil comprises a braced rectangular frame, teeth attached to bars extending across the frame, means for rocking the bars to disengage the teeth from the ground, and a spiked roller mounted between rearwardly projecting extensions of the side bars of the frame. Attached to the front bar 4 of the rectangular frame 1 is another frame '7 provided with supporting wheels 8 and with a seat 9. The bars 10 carrying the teeth are coupled together by arms and links and are rocked by means of a pivoted lever provided with a locking-quadrant. There may be two sets of bars 10 and two rocking-levers 22, as shown. The teeth consist of pointed blades having shanks 13 that are fitted around the square legs. Teeth having cutting-edges may be attached to the front bars 10. The spiked roller 15 is carried by a shaft mounted in extensions of the side bars 2, 3 of the frame 1.
