Abstract
A heat shielding device comprises a pair of glass sheets (1) the edges of which are stuck on a packing member to separate the two glass shoots by a distance of 2 to 3mm thus forming a reservoir therebetween. A pump is connected to the inlet of the reservoir. A cooling radiator is connected to the outlet of the reservoir. In use, water in the reservoir is circulated to remove heat from the sunshine. <IMAGE>
Description
4 SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION -71 A- A HEAT SHIELDING DEVICE.
This invention relates.11-o a heall- shielding device.
It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a heat shielding device which utilizes water flow to remove the radiated heat from the sunshine.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a heat shielding device which is simple in construction.
It is still another object of the present invention to provide a heat shielding device which is effective in use.
it is a further object of the present invention to Provide a heat shieldincr device which is economic to produce.
1 3 It is still a further object of the present invention provide a heat shielding device which is may be used for decoration.
Other objects and merits and a fuller understanding of the present invention will be obtained by those having ordinary skill in the art when the following detailed description is read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
d 'I 1 1 1 1 i 1 1 l! 1 'i 1 1, 1 i 1 1 BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
FIG. 1 is a cross sectional view of a heat shield according to a preferred embodiment according to the preferred embodiment according to the present invention; and FIG. 2 shows the circulating system of the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
For purpose of promoting an understanding of the principles of the invention, reference will now be made to the embodiment illustrated in the drawings. Specific language will be used to described same. It will, nevertheless, be understood that no limitation of the scope of the invention is thereby intended, such alternations and further modifications in the illustrated device, and such further applications of the principles of the invention as illustrated herein being contemplated as would normally occur to one skilled in the art to which the invention relates.
Referring to the drawings, the heat shield according to the present invention comprises two glass sheets 1 the four sides of which are stuck on a packing member 2 to separate the two glass sheets 2 by a distance of 2 - 3mm thus forming a reservoir 5 therebeween. An outlet 3 is provided at the bottom of the space 5 while an outlet 4 is formed on the top of the space 5. By means of a connecting pipe, water may be pumped into the inlet 3 and out of the outlet 4, constituting a static circulating system.
1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 t i j 1 1 i i i 1 1 !1 1 1 1 1 i A cooling case 6 is connected to the outlet 4 so as to cool the the circulating water flowing therethrough. Then, the water is pumped into the space 5 via the inlet 3. As a result, the radiated by the water received in th space 5 between the two glass sheets 1 and dissipated through the cooling case 6 hence providing an effective heat shield.
The cooling case 6 may he a simple one or a case with refrigerant for providing more effective dissipation. The glass sheet 1 may be made of transparent or transculent safety glass, etc. Further, plastic sheets are applicable too. In addition, the water filed into the srace 5 between the glass sheets 1. may be colorless or dyed with any desired color.
In conclusion, the present invention utilizes two glass sheets to form a reservoir for receiving water which will be circulated by a pump and cooled by a cooling case thus carrying away the radiated heat from the sunshine and therefore providing an effective heat shield. Moreover, the circulating water may be dyed with any desired colour for decoration.
1 Although the present invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is understood that the present disclosure is made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detail of construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
