Abstract

A jet for a dyeing machine including a base being a tubular member with one side fixedly mounted in an appropriate position within a head and having a recess with an opening, and a jacket being detachably fitted in the base. The jacket is rectangular in shape and is replacable with two conical jackets directing in a way such that the center lines thereof intersect at an angle of 3-5 degrees. <IMAGE>

Description

A JET FOR A DYEING MACHINE BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION It is found that various kinds of jets for dyeing machines have been developed; however, none of them is satisfactory in use.
FIG. 1 shows a prior art jet 11 which is of the rectangular type and designed for circular knitting cloth.
However, such jet cannot provide a large flow rate and is not fit for dyeing machine.
FIG. chows another prior art jet 12 which of the conical type and designed for circular knitting cloth except towels. As the above-mentioned jet 11, the jet 12 also cannot provide a large flow rate and is unfit for dyeing machine.
FIGS. 3 and 4 show two improved jets. The former is provided with three jets at the position 13, of which the middle one 131 is of the rectangular type and connected to a cyclic piping 1310 and the other two 132 are of the concial type and connected to another cyclic piping 1320. Both cyclic pipings 131 and 132 are in turn connected to a cyclic piping 133. However, such jet cannot be replaced. The latter is provided with two conical jets 141 at the position 14 which are connected to a cyclic piping 1410 in turn connected to a cyclic piping 142 at the position 16. A rectangular jet 151 is disposed at the position 15 and there is a single piping 1510 between the positions 15 and 16.The two pipings 1410 of the conical jets 141 are connected to the single piping 1510 of the rectangular jet 151 are connected to a piping 142 at the position 16. However, such jet is fixedly mounted and cannot be replaced. Further, in case of abnormal conditions, the cloth may be pushed by water flow to pass through branch pipes thereby causing danger.
It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide an improved jet for dyeing machines which may obviate and mitigate the above-mentioned drawbacks.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION This invention relates to an improved jet for a dyeing machine.
It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a jet for a dyeing machine which may be equipped with rectangular jacket or conical jacket as required.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a jet for a dyeing machine which is provided with a single cyclic piping.
It is still another object of the present invention to provide a jet for a dyeing machine which may prevent cloth to pass in opposite direction in case of abnormal conditions.
It is still another object of the present invention to provide a jet for a dyeing machine the jacket of which is replaceable.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a jet for a dyeing machine which is simple in construction.
Other objects and merits and a fuller understanding of the present invention will be obtained by those having ordinary skill in the art when the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment is read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG. 1 shows a prior art single rectangular jet for a dyeing machine; FIG. 2 shows a prior art cylindrical jet for a dyeing machine; FIG. 3 shows another prior art jet for a dyeing machine; FIG. 3A is a top view of FIG. 3; FIG. 4 is shows anther prior art jet for a dyeing machine; FIGS. 4A and 4B are top views of FIG. 4; FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a jet for a dyeing machine according to the present invention; FIG. 6 is a working view of the present invention; FIG. 7 is an exploded view of the present invention; FIG. 8 is a perspective view of a jet for a dyeing machine according to another preferred embodiment according to the present invention; FIG. 9 is a sectional side view of the jet shown in FIG. 7; and FIG. 10 is a sectional side view of the jet shown in FIG. 8.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT With reference to the drawings and in particular to FIGS. 5 and 6, the jet 2 for dyeing machine according -to the present invention is fixedly mounted within a conical head 31 on a cylinder 3. The cloth passes through the jet via a guide wheel 5 and into a cyclic piping 6.
The shape and structure of the jet 2 are illustrated in FIG. 7. As shown, the jet 2 is mainly constituted by a base 21 and a jacket 22. The base 21 is a tubular member with one side fixedly mounted in an appropriate position within the conical head 31 of the cylinder 3 and has a recess 211 with an opening 212 on the bottom. The recess 211 is provided with a shoulder 2110 for receiving'an oil seal 213 (see FIGS. 9 and 10). The base 21 is further provided with a plurality of threaded holes 214. As illustrated in FIG. 7, the jacket 22 is rectangular in shape and provided with a fixing flange 221 on the upper part and a small positioning flange 222 on the lower part.
The fixing flange 221 of the jacket 22 has threaded holes 223 adapting the threaded holes 214 of the base 21. FIG.
9 shows the assembly of the base 21 and the jacket 22. It should be noted, however, that the jacket may he cylindrical in shape and composed of two conical units 231 with center lines intersecting at 3 to 5 degrees as shown in FIG. 8. The fixing flange 232 and the positioning flange 233 of the base 23 for the conical jacket 23 have the same size as the fixing flange 221 and the positioning flange 222 of the rectangular jacket 22 and are fixed on the base 21 by screws. The two kinds of jackets may be chosen as required and may apply the same cyclic piping 6.
FIG. 10 is a sectional view of the jet with conical jacket. As illustrated, the conical jackets 231 direct in a way so that the center lines thereof intersect at an angle of 3 - 5 degrees thereby preventing entangling.
Further, since there is only one cyclic piping 6, it is possible to prevent reverse flowing through the branch pipes in case of abnormal conditions.
Althougll the present invention has beerl dc.r'ribed with a certain degree of particularity, it is understood that the present invention is made by way of example only and that numerous changes in detail of construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
