Abstract

A mirror 1 that has a dark back 2 to attract heat from air 3 up a chimney that has sides 4, 5 and 6 so that the mirror becomes heated and free of condensation in humid surroundings. <IMAGE>

Description

STEAM FREE MIRROR This invention relates to a steam or mist frce mirror.
Mirrors in bathrooms and other places of high humidity are well known to get covered with condensation, steam or mist. Although at the moment there are several types of mist free mirrors available they are expensive and do not last for very long, using chemicals or central heating pipes According to the present invention tllere is l mist free mirror which comprises of a dark coloured back with a chimney behind that which is light coloured. As the humid air rises up inside the chimney, the dark backing of the mirror enables the mirror to warm up, making it steam free.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of exmple with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIGURE 1 shows a side view of the mirror.
FIGURE 2 shows a front view of the mirror.
FIGURE 3 shows s a bottom to top view of the mirror.
Referring to the drawing of the mirror' which comprises of a mirror 1 ith a dark hacking 2. Iiehind that there is a space 3 and then a light coloured panel 4 . ()n hoth of the sides there are to strips 5 and 6 to form a chimney.
As the warm air rises it is attracted by the coldness of the mirror and raises up inside the chimney. The heat is absorbed by the dark backing of the mirror 2 leaving cold air inside the chimney 3 which attracts more warm, humid air. As the sides 5 and 6 stop any dispersing then an air flow is established in the chimney 3 and the mirror is consistently heated Lip making it mist free.
Although the mirror steams up to begin with it quickly becomes mist free once the airflow bas been established and the mirror warms up.
