Description
PANEL A
SPRAY GUN STAND
This invention relates to a spray gun stand.
As far as I know there is no invention of this kind on the market.
A spray gun stand which has two detachable interchangable hangars, enabling to hold in position, either, a gravity or suction feed spray gun, whilst filling with paint. Two detachable trays are provided for use in cmjunction with either hangar. One to hold the suction feed pot in position, also acting as an overflow spilleage trough when filling with paint. The accompanying tray doubles as an over-flow spilleage trough for the gravity feed spray gun, and also as a cleaning tray for the air cap, fluid tip, etc.
All parts of the stand dismantle for easy cleaning, storage, packaging and individual ordering.

Fig 1 and Fig 2
Referring to the drawing, the stand comprises a solid base for stability 10 two releasably interchangable trays 11 and 12 two interchangable hangars 19 and 20 releasably secured to the base 10 by a securing device 87 example of a key/thumb screw or similar means 17.
The suction feed spray gun is hung from the slot 21 (with air line attached if required). With the pot released and placed in the pot holder for filling with paint (not shown).
In order to hold the gravity feed spray gun in position whilst filling with paint, a set of angled adjustable jaws 27, allow various sized cups to be held securely, which are fastened by a securing device 26.
For added balance an air cap stabilizer 23 is fitted with a height adjustable groove 24 fastened by a securing device 25.

Fig 3
In order to release either hangars 19 and 20 unscrew and remove the securing device 17, this will enable it to slide along the height adjustment groove 22 and out through the slot 18 situated at the top of the shady 16.
To remove the shady unscrew and remove the securing device 15.
Fig 4
Two interchangable trays 11 and 12 are provided. Situated at the rear are lipped grooves 13, which align themselves with the shaft. To remove trays slide along guides 14. Positioned on either side of the base.
The inner tray 12, which is used for holding the suction feed spray cup in position whilst filling with paint, and which also doubles as a catchment area for any spilleage which may occur, can be lifted free of the outer tray 11 enabling this in turn to be used for cleaning the air cap, fluid tip, etc and also doubles as a spilleage trough for the gravity feed spray gun.
