Abstract
The backbone frame bicycle (drawing 1/3) has a frame which is comprised of three pieces of tubular steel welded together to form the completed backbone frame and contained within the frame there is provided jointed steering. The jointed steering is comprised of a steering column and a steering shaft coupled together by means of a universal joint. Propulsion is provided by cranks and pedals mounted directly onto the rear wheel. <IMAGE>
