Abstract

A fluid system comprising a flow control device (120), means (128) to supply a head fluid to the flow control device (120), and a fluid using means (112), the flow control devices (120) comprising a chamber (148), an inlet to the chamber (148) from the fluid supply means (138), a plurality of outlets from the chamber (148), one of which comprises a primary outlet (121) through which fluid is fed to the fluid using means (112) and the or at least one of the remaining outlets each comprising a secondary outlet having a valve means (142, 143) associated therewith, the valve means (142, 143) when operated in a first condition permitting fluid to be directed from the chamber (148) through the associated outlet to a relief means (143) and when operated in a second condition, the valve means (141, 142) at least reducing the amount of fluid passing through the secondary outlet to the relief means (143).
