Abstract

A retractable neck-tie holder is provided to stow easily into a wardrobe, or similar storage cupboard, and consists of a sliding rail 3 whose mechanism is fixed to a gable or divider within the wardrobe and whose sliding part 1 carries an arrangement of hooks or pegs 2 which act as holders for individual ties. Stops are provided on the sliding mechanism which prevents the peg-carrier from sliding-off or disengaging its fixed rail. <IMAGE>

Claims (7)

  1. CLA1S A retractable neck-tie bolder, for use in a wardrobe or cupboard, fixed to a gable or divider, comprislng a fixed load bearing member and a movable tie-carrying member.
  2. 2. A retractable neck-tie holder as in Claim 1 wherein guide means are provided on both the fixed and moveable members of the device.
  3. 3. A retractable neck-tie holder as in Claim 1 or Claim 2 wherein the sliding guide means can be externally interlocking as in a dovetail section rail or internally locating as in telescopic tubes which have circular, square, triangular, rectangular or tee sections.
  4. 4. A retractable neck-tie holder as in Claim 3 wherein the sliding member is restrained on the fixed load bearing member by means of suitable stops which engage when the sliding member is moved out to a previously fixed extent.
  5. 5. g retractable neck-tie holder as in any preceding claim, wherein the moveable member is adapted to carry ties by being provided with a series of pegs or hooks, or similar holding devices, which can be arranged in any order or in a plurality of rows.
  6. 6. A retractable neck-tie holder as in Claim 3 and 5 wherein the pegs or hooks can be surface, rather than penetrating, mounted when the members are internally locating.
  7. 7. A retractable neck-tie holder substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1-6 of the accompanying drawing.
