Abstract
A converter for recording acoustic emission signals comprises a casing (1) in which are mounted a preamplifier (7) electrically connected to a piezoelectric element (5) shaped as a cylinder and mounted coaxially on a protecting disk (4), and a damping element (6). The converter is provided with a bushing (3) mounted coaxially to the piezoelectric element (5) in the base (2) of the casing (1) and connected to the latter through a thread-type connection, the protecting disk (4) being located in the end face of the bushing (3) on the side where the outside surface of the base (2) of the casing (1) is located. The damping element (6) consists of a sleeve which is mounted inside the bushing (3), is connected to it by means of a threaded joint and embraces the piezoelectric element (5) within the zone where a means (8) for its electrical connection to the preamplifier (7) is located.
