Description

IMPROVEMENT ON TERMINAL BLOCK STRUCTURE This invention is related to an improvezrt on terminal block structure and, more particularly to one series of built-up terminal blocks applicable for fixed type as well as for slipform connection, having features to make the structure more practical, convenient and durable in use.
Regular terminal block panel is for connection of a plurality of electric wires, which is mainly comprised of a plurality of terminal blocks set together by series connection, and firmly fixed at preferred location for application. This kind of fixed type terminal block panel is not movable and not very practical in some wiring procedures. There is another kind of slipform terminal block panel to let a plurality of terminal blocks to slide along a rail. This kind of slipform terminal block panel provides inferior positioning effect. Esther the said fixed type or slipform terminal block panels of the prior art, the terminal blocks are connected through single point connection, of which the structure is not very stable and easy to vibrate.
In view of said problems, the present invention is thus created to provide an innovative terminal block panel which is very practical for either fixed type or slipform application. Furthermore, the structure of the present invention is very stable and durable in use.
The embodiments of the present invention will now be described by way of example, reference being made to the accompanying drawings as hereunder.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Figure 1 is a schematic perspective view of the present invention, illustrating the structure of terminal block and matching plate.
Figure 2 is a schematic view drawing of a preferred embodiment according to the present invention.
Figure 3 is a schematic perspective view of the fixed type built-up terminal block of the prior art.
Figure 4 is a schematic perspective view of the slip form built-up terminal block of the prior art.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT Referring to Figure 1, the present invention is comPrised of a series of terminal blocks (10) connected together ith a matching plate (20) attached at one end.
Each said terminal block (10) is arranged to provide: - an upper protruding portion (11) made on one lateral side at an upper central position comprising a protruding cylinder (111) at the front, a circular hole (112) made on the inner side of the protruding portion (11) of each terminal block (10) to communicate from one side of the terminal block (10) to the other for insertion of a cylinder (111) of another terminal block (10) thereinto; - two U-channels (12) made bilaterally below the said protruding portion for arrangement of respective conducting wires;; -two protruding lateral portions (13) respectively arranged at the outer side of the said U-channels (12) wherein each protruding lateral portion comprises a protruding cylinder (131) at the front having a lateral hole (132) at the back side for a protruding cylinder (131) of one protruding lateral portion (13) of another terminal block (10) to insert thereinto, a cutting (133) made below the said protruding lateral portion (13), an ins-;ard hook portion (134) made at the bottom extending from the external side wall to match with a sliding rail (30); - a reversed U-channel (14) arranged at the bottom of the terminal block below the said two U-channels (12) and between the said two protruding lateral portions (13); and - a protruding seat (15) arranged at the lower portion at the back side against the said reversed U-channel (14) to match with a reversed U-channel (14) of another terminal block (10), having an arc-shaped opening (151) made at the upper central portion.
A matching plate (20) which is arranged to provide a configuration same as the back side of each said terminal block (10) to match with a plurality of terminal blocks (10) comprises a central circular hole (21) and two lateral holes (22) to respectively correspond to the circular hole (11?) and the lateral holes (132) of the terminal blocks (10), a cutting (23) in a shape same as the said cutting (133) bilaterally arranged below each lateral hole (22), an inward hook portion (24) bilaterally made at the bottom of the left and right side walls, a protruding seat (25) bilaterally made at the bottom of the front and back side of the matching plate (20) having a respective arc-shaped opening (26) made at the upper central portion to match with the reversed U-channel (14) of each terminal block (10).
By means of the protruding cylinder (111) of the upper protruding portion (11), the two protruding cylinders (131) of the two protruding lateral portions (13) and the reversed U-channel (14) of a terminal block (10) to match with the central circular hole (112), the two lateral holes (132) and the protruding seat (15) of another terminal block (10), a plurality of terminal blocks (10) are connected in one series. The last piece of terminal block (10) is further connected with the said matching plate by means of the central protruding cylinder (111) and the two lateral protruding cylinders (131) and the reversed U-channel (14) to match with the central circular hole (21) and the two lateral holes (22) and the protruding seat (25) of the matching plate (20). By means of said arrangement, a terminal block panel is thus built-up.As soon as the terminal block panel is built-up, it may be fixed at preferred location by means of screws or fastening elements to respectively fix onto the arc-shaped opening (26) (151) of the protruding seat (25) (15) at both ends of the terminal block panel.
Referring to Figure 2, a sliding rail (30) is arranged in a prolonged U-channel, of which the both sides are bent outward to respectively form a flange (31), and the bottom is arranged to provide suitable opening (32) for fixation.
The terminal block panel of the invention is mounted on the said sliding rail (30), letting the cuttings (133) of the terminal blocks (10) and the cutting (23) of the matching plate (20) be arranged on the bilateral flanges (31) of the sliding rail (30) by means of slip joint and letting the bilateral hook portions (134) and (24) be positioned at the bottom of the bilateral flanges (31) to allow the terminal block panel to stably slide along the rail (30).
l?hen the terminal block panel is mounted on the slidina rail (30), the bottom of the protruding seats (15) of the terminal blocks (10) and the bottom of the protruding seats (25) of the matching plate (20) are closely in contact with the upper surface of the bottom channel of the sliding rail (30). Ey means of screws or fastening elements to respectively fix through the acr-shaped openings (151) (26) of the protruding seats (15) (25) and the opening (32) of the sliding rail (30), the terminal block panel is fixedly attached to the sliding rail (30). wEen the screws or fastening elements are loosened and removed, the said terminal block panel becomes movable to slide along the sliding rail (30).
Referring to Figure 3, the terminal block panel of the prior art is composed of a plurality of terminal blocks (lox) and a matching plate (20A). Each said terminal block (10A) which is similar to the terminal block (10) of the present invention comprises upper protruding portion (ilk) having central protruding cylinder (lily) and central circular hole (112A), two U-channels (12A), one cutting (14A), and one protruding seat (15A) having an arc-shaped opening (151A) at the upper center.The said matching plate (20A) corp rises a circular hole (21A) made at the upper central position, a protruding seat (25A) made at the front side as w7ell as at the back side with an arc-shaped opening (26A) respectively arranged thereon. IRlen a plurality of terminal blocks (10A) are connected together in a series, it is rade by means of the protruding cylinder (111A) of the runner ?rotrudin portion (llA) of one terminal block (10A) to set in the circular hole (ll2A) of another terminal bloc1 (1P). This single connection point is not very stable, and the built-up termXinal';block panel is applicable for fixed type application only.
Referring to the slip form built-up tenninal block panel of the prior art as shown in Figure 4. Each terminal block (lOB), similar to the present invention, comprises an upper protruding portion (llB) having protruding cylinder (1113) and circular hole (1123), two U-channels (12B), one bottom cutting (133B) each respectively made at both sides, and an inward hook portion (134E) bilaterally nade at the bottom extending from each external side wall to match with a sliding fail (30B). the matching plate (202) comprises a circular hole (21B) made at upper central portion, one bottom cutting (23B) each respectively made at both sides, and an inward hook portion (243) bilaterally made at the bottom extending from each external side trall. then to build up a terminal block panel, it is made by means of the protruding cylinder (1115) of the upper protruding portion (lob) of one terminal block (lye) to set in the circular hole (112B) of another terminal block (10B). This connection is same as described in Figure 3, not very stable. For slip form application, the built-up terminal block panel is mounted on a sliding rail (30B) by means of the cuttings (1333) of the terminal blocks (103) and the cuttings (23B) of the matching plate (20B). Because every terminal block (ion) and the matching plate (203) do not comprise protruding seat for fixation, this type of terminal block panel is used for slip form application only and is not alternatively applicable for fixed type use.
In general, the present invention is to provide an improved terminal block structure having numerous features, each of which tends to make the structure more practical, stable, and durable.

Claims (1)

    An improved terminal block structure, comprised of a plurality of terminal blocks with one matching plate attached together by means of series' connection, wllerein each said terminal block is arranged to provide:: -an upper protruding portion made on one lateral side at an upper central position having a protruding cylinder at the front, a circular hole made on the inner side of the protruding portion of each terminal block to cormunicate from one side of the terminal block to the other for insertion of a cylinder of another terminal block thereinto; -two U-channels made bilaterally bells the said protruding portion for arrangement of respective conducting wires;; -two protruding lateral portions respectively arranged at the outer side of the said U-channels wherein each protruding lateral portion comprises a protruding cylinder at the front having a lateral hole at the back side for a protruding cylinder of one protruding lateral portion of another terminal block to insert thereinto, a cutting made below the said protruding lateral portion, an inward hook portion made at the bottom extending from the external side wall to match with a sliding rail; -a reversed U-channel arranged at the bottom of the terminal block below the said two U-channels and between the said two protruding lateral portions; and -a protruding seat arranged at the lower portion at the back side against the said reversed U-channel to match with a reversed U-channel of another terminal block, having an arc-shaped opening (151) rade at the upper central portion; said matching plate which is arranged to provide a configuration same as the back side of each said terminal block to match with a plurality of terminal blocks comprising a central circular hole and two lateral holes to respectively correspond to the circular hole arid the lateral holes of the terminal blocks, a cutting in a shape same as the said cutting bilaterally arranged below each lateral hole, an inward hook portion bilaterally made at the bottom of the left and right side walls, a protruding seat bilaterally made at the bottom of the front and back side of the rratching plate having a respective arc-shaped opening made at the upper central portion to match with the reversed U-channel of each terminal block; by means of a plurality of said terminal blocks to connect with said matching plate to build up an innovative terminal block panel which is characterized in that the reinforced connection through the said protruding cylinders of the bilateral protruding portions of the terminal blocks makes the whole structure more stable and durable; the arrangement of the reversed U-channel being to allow the terminal block panel to slide along the sliding rail; the arrangement of the arc-shaped opening of the protruding seat being to match with suitable fastening elements to allow the terminal block panel be alternatively applicable for fixed type use.
