Abstract
A bubble blowing device comprises concentric coplanar rings 1-3 and elements 12, 21, 23, 32 which link the rings and extend out of the plane of the rings. Blowing on the side of the assembly on which the elements extend produces bubbles within bubbles. <IMAGE>
Description
Innovative multiple-layer bubble blowing devices
This invention relates to bubble blowing devices and, more particularly to one for blowing one bubble within another.
Please refer to Figure 1. The design and the effect of regular bubble blowing devices are quite simple, which can only blow single-layer or double-layer bubbles at a time to attract children. This single type bubble blowing device is characterized by producing a plurality of separated single-layer bubbles in various different sizes to attract consumers' desire to purchase. Since it is not newly started and there is no any improvement on the technique, this kind of bubble blowing devices have no longer been widely accepted now. Referring te the double-layer bubble blowing device of the prior art as illustrated in Figure, this device can produce one bubble within the other by blowing to films on the first ring (1)' and the second ring (2)'.However, because both rings are separated for a long distance, it requires a long linking element (3)' to couple. If the distance between the said two rings (1)' (2)' is excessive long, when to blow the film formed on the two rings, two bubbles may be formed separately because the surface tension of the film on the second ring (2)' can not reach the tension requirement for such a long distance between the two rings. If the distance between the said two rings is too short, the surface tension of water may cause the films on the both rings to couple together or suds or foams on the linking element (3)' may destroy the formation of bubbles from the films of the said two rings. Further, this kind of double-layer bubble blowing devices are normally designed for blowing double-layer of bubbles, which can not produce triple or more layers of bubbles at a time.Therefore, the design of the prior art is no longer fresh, which provide little fun and attraction to children.
Embodiments of the invention are described by way of example, with reference to the drawings, in which:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a double-layer bubble blowing device of the prior art;
Figure 2 is a perspective view of a double-layer bubble blowing device embodying the present invention;
Figure 3 is a perspective view of an embodiment of triple-layer bubble blowing device according to the present invention;
Figure 4 is a perspective view of another embodiment of triple-layer bubble blowing device according to the present invention, which uses different linking measure;
Figure 5 is a side view drawing of the embodiment taken in Figure 3, illustrating the operation of the device;
Figure 6 is a perspective view drawing of the embodiment taken in Figure 3, illustrating the operation of the device wherein a bubble is formed within others; and
Figure 7 is a perspective view of a quadruple-layer bubble blowing device embodying the present invention.
Please refer to the drawings, the device according to the present invention, can be increased from doublelayer to triple-layer. The first ring (1), second ring (2), and third ring (3) are connected together by means of two sets of linking elements (12) (21) and (23) (32), wherein said three rings are concentric circles arranged on the same surface level. The said two sets of linking elements (12) (21) and (23) (32) are arranged to protrude beyond the surface level at lateral side. By means of said arrangement, the said three rings will separately provide a respective film after having dipped in bubble liquid, and the two sets of linking elements (12) (21) and (23) (32) will not contain suds or foams to destroy the formation of films on the rings since they are elevated from the rings.
Therefore, the effect of one bubble within another can be achieved. Please refer to the embodiments of Figures 5 and 6, a small bubble (6) resulted from the third ring (3) is encircled within an intermediate bubble (5) resulted from the second ring (2), another big bubble (5) is formed from the first ring (1) to contain the small bubble (6) and the intermediate bubble (5) to form bubble within others. The lower portion of the device is a handle (7) which is designed to facilitate the operation. When the device is effected by wind force on reverse direction, the bubbles from respective films on the said rings will be destroyed due to the interference of the linking elements (12) (21) and (23) (32). Referring to Figure 7 which illustrates an embodiment for multiple-layer bubble blowing, wherein a multiple sets of linking elements are provided to connect the multiple rings for multiple-layer bubble formation process. After having dipped in bubble liquid, each ring will provide a film thereon. When a wind force is applied, the films will be blown into bubbles to let one be encircled within another, to provide the effect of bubble within another.
In general, the present invention is to provide such a bubble blowing device having a feature which tends to make the structure more practical, so as to provide multiple-layer of bubbles at a time to attract consumers to purchase.
Claims (4)
1. An innovative multiple-layer bubble blowing device,
comprising a handle, ring assembly, and linking
element, characterized in that the handle is connected
with the outer ring which contains one or more rings
thereinside made on the same surface level to form
concentric circles, said concentric circles being
connected by means of said linking element, said
linking element being designed to not contain suds
or foams at the time the device being dipped in
bubble liquid so as not to destroy the formation of
multiple-layer of bubbles from the films on the rings.
2. An innovative multiple-layer bubble blowing device
as claimed in Claim 1 wherein the said linking
element has a U-like shape with one end connected
to the outer ring and with the other end connected
to the inner ring, which is designed to not contain
suds or foams.
3. An innovative multiple-layer bubble blowing device
as claimed in Claim 1 wherein each linking element
is arranged on the same lateral side on the rings so as not to interfere with the formation of bubble within bubbles at the time the films on the rings being to bear wind force.
4. A multiple-layer bubble blowing device substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to Figure 2,
Figures 3, 5 and 6, Figure 4 or Figure 7 of the accompanying drawings.
