Description

HEALTH INDUCING DEVICE This invention relates to a method of and devices for enhancing personal potential. The latter may be enhanced by way of promoting good health or by increasing mental and/or physical performance.
Mineral and magnetic therapy have long been utilized in alternative medicine for the relief of pain and the promotion of good health. Different minerals are attributed with different effects on the body. Magnetic devices are utilized to interact with the body and many followers of these teachings wear magnetic jewellery in order to stimulate the body and promote good health.
The present invention aims to provide an improved method of and devices for enhancing personal potential both mentally and physically. Other objects and advantages of this invention will hereinafter become apparent.
With the foregoing and other objects in view, this invention in one aspect resides broadly in a method of enhancing personal potential including providing a static body stimulation device capable of being supported on the body over the navel, securing said device to the body to overlie the navel, and maintaining said device secured to the body over the navel for a selected period or periods of time.
The body stimulation device may be a magnetic device or a non-magnetic device such as a moebius strip or any other device capable of stimulating or energizing the source of the acupuncture meridians. The moebius strip is preferably formed of coral but if desired it may be formed of a plastic, metallic, wood, magnetic or any other material. Of course a metallic and/or a magnetic moebius strip may be used if desired.
In another aspect, this invention resides broadly in a personal potential enhancing, device for use in the method described above, and comprising a moebius strip having an inner diameter of between ten and thirty millimetres.
In yet another aspect, this invention resides broadly in a personal potential enhancing device comprising a magnetic disc having a diameter of between ten and fifty millimetres and a magnetic strength of between five hundred and two thousand gauss.
In order that this invention may be readily understood and put into practical effect, reference will now be made to the accompanying drawings which illustrate typical embodiments of the invention, and wherein: FIGS 1 and 2 are perspective views of one form of body stimulating device according to this invention; FIG 3 is a view of a modified form of the device illustrated in FIG 1, and FIG 4 is a perspective view of an alternate form of body stimulating device.
As shown in FIG 1, the body stimulating device 10 is disc like and comprises an outer cylindrical casing 11 formed of gold or gold plated material and supporting a magnet therein arranged with its north/south magnetic axis coincident with the axis of the cylindrical casing 11. One end face 12 of the device 10 is marked with an "S" as shown to indicate the skin contact side of the device and/or the south seeking pole end while the other end face 13 is plain.
The magnet enclosed within the housing 11 may be formed of any suitable material and it has a magnetic strength of seven hundred gauss. For optimum results the magnetic strength is maintained between six hundred and ninety-three to seven hundred and seven gauss. However beneficial effects may be obtained with different magnetic strengths and thus the magnetic strength may be varied as desired and suitably may be in the range of six hundred to eight hundred gauss.
Preferably however the magnetic strength does not exceed a strength of two thousand gauss or drop below a minimum of five hundred gauss.
In use, the marked face 12 is worn against the body over the navel whereby it may energise the source of all acupuncture meridians which emanate from the navel so that the magnetic forces tend to balance or stimulate those meridians from or at their source. For this purpose the diameter of the pendant device 10 is sufficiently large so that it will not enter the navel cavity whereby it will not pivot and cause the magnetic axis to become significantly misaligned with respect to said lines of meridian. Of course an insertable device may be utilized, complete with mounting means capable of maintaining operative alignment of the device within the navel.
The pendant 10 has a diameter of fifteen millimetres such that it will overlie the periphery of the navel but of course this could be increased up to approximately seventy millimetres if desired. Futhermore the shape of the device 10 may be varied. It may be rectangular or hexagonal or irregular shaped if desired.
The casing 11 is gold plated as gold is considered the best mineral for the body and gold stimulates the triple warmer meridian in acupuncture. Of course other metals or non-metals may be used if desired. The pendant 10 when supported in this position across the navel may also nourish the jing or prenatal energy. It may improve breathing and blood circulation and it may ease stiffness in joints.
The casing 11 may be attached to the user's body by an adhesive bandage or it may be supported thereon by a strap or bandage extending about the body or otherwise as desired.
The device 15 illustrated in FIG 3 is similar to the device 10. However the rear portion of the cylindrical casing part 16 is extended rearwardly beyond the rear wall 17 so as to form a recess 18 whereby the device 15 may be worn about a protruding navel.
The device 10 or 15 may be worn for any desired period such as for intermittent periods of several minutes to many hours or it may be worn for an extended period of days or weeks to alleviate health problems. The magnetic device 10 or 15 may also be used to stimulate various zones of the body. In this respect the body has seven major chakras.
Each is believed to be associated with specific regions of the body. According to this invention selected chakras may be stimulated by applying an appropriate strength magnetic field or magnetic field array to the navel.
The field array may be produced by a single magnet which may be of disc-like or rod-like form but preferably the magnetic field array is provided by stacking an appropriate number of relatively small devices 10 such as that illustrated in FIG 1, one above the other on the navel. For example one device 10 may be used to stimulate the first chakra, two stacked devices 10 may be used for stimulating the second chakra and so on. More than seven discs may be used in a stack if desired, for example fifteen discs may be stacked one above the other. Preferably each disc has a magnetic strength of between six hundred and fifteen hundred gauss and these may be stacked one above the other to increase this to any desired level. Eight discs may be used to produce a field strength of about one thousand, six hundred and fifty gauss and this may be effective in treating many ailments.Furthermore a plurality of disc-like magnets can be used independently, that is, not housed in respective housing so as to minimise the size of a stack of discs or they could be stacked within a cylinder to provide the required treatment device. Also if desired the magnetic field may be produced electrically. Furthermore magnets may be used individually or collectively either cased or uncased or, the or each magnetic disc may be provided with a gold plated face plate on its south seeking face orlon its opposed faces.
Furthermore, depending upon the condition being treated, the device 10 or 15 may be used singly or in a stack of devices by or in combination with similar or other devices and with the north and south seeking poles alternatively engaged against the skin to provide a balanced programme for increasing personal wellbeing.
The ring-like health inducing device 20 illustrated in FIG 4 is in the form of a moebius strip 21 formed of coral. One side face 22 of the strip 21, which may be beneficially worn against the body, is marked WBW while the other side face 23 is plain. The strip 10 is suitably secured in place by an adhesive bandage. The strip 11 may be formed of materials other than coral, such as synthetic plastics materials.
The strip is preferably worn over the navel in similar manner of the previously described devices 10 and 15 whereby it may energise the source of all acupuncture meridians which emanate from the navel so that the vitality globules may balance those meridians completely from their source to alleviate health problems and increase personal potential.
For this purpose the diameter of the strip 20 is sufficiently large so that it will not enter the navel. Preferably the strip 20 has a mean diameter of fifteen millimetres such that it will overlie the periphery of the navel but of course this could be increased up to approximately seventy millimetres if desired. Furthermore its shape may be varied and it may be rectangular or hexagonal or irregular shaped if desired while having endless and common end faces characteristic of a moebius strip or ring. The end face 24 forms the respective part annular side faces 22 and 23 at opposite sides of the strip 20, these faces 22 and 23 of course being common and continuous.
While the above relates to use of devices for nourishing structural integrity, and may be useful, for example, for pain relief, spinal alignment and back balancing, the devices may also be used to facilitate enhanced personal achievement.
For this purpose devices are worn in reverse, i.e., with their north unmarked face against the skin and over the navel. Such use may lead to increased stamina, muscle strength and concentration. In such applications the devices may be used during sport, teaching and other like activities to provide increased performance.
The devices 10 or 15 may also be worn adjacent the manubrium below the sternal notch and in line with the second rib so as to stimulate the thymus gland. For this purpose the pendant may be supported by a necklace or an adhesive bandage in its selected position and with the marked end face 12 against the skin. Other body locations may also be used advantageously.
The devices described above have been used to treat ailments and to enhance personal potential and in this respect typical treatments which have been successful are given in the following examples: Example 1 A patient believed to be suffering from Adeno Carcinoma was treated by wearing a coral moebius strip over her navel.
The size of the tumour decreased ind the tumour became softer to the touch. On the addition of the magnetic device, this healing speed increased. The tumour was gone to the touch within four days and a blood test showed no signs of cancer.
Example 2 A patient suffering from "Cold Sores" began showing two small blisters. The magnetic device was worn over the navel and they immediately softened. These sores would usually last three or four days, but after treatment they healed very quickly.
Example 3 A pati nt suffering from chronic back pains was treated by wearing the magnetic device over the navel and noticed decline in the back pain. The moebius strip was added and tension and pain decreased markedly, both to the patient's mind and to the feel of experienced masseurs, naturopaths and natural therapists.
Example 4 A patient damaged her knee from a fall off a bicycle. She was treated by wearing the coral ring over her navel. Pain and swelling decreased and in 15 minutes mobility was restored.
Example 5 A patient suffering from "sliding intermittent-type hiatus hernia" normally awoke each morning and vomited. She used the moebius strip for one night, slept all night and awoke without sickness. She now has improved appetite and decreased fluid retention.
It will of course be realised that the above has been given only by way of illustrative example of the present invention and that all such modifications and variations thereto as would be apparent to persons skilled in the art are deemed to fall within the broad scope and ambit of this invention as is defined in the appended claims.
