222,342. Tinker, J. W. Nov. 0, 1923. Addition to 186,006. Carding-engines.-Fancies or like rollers of the kind described in the parent Specification are produced by winding round the roller a fillet having portions d of wire of flattened section interposed at intervals between portions c of ordinary round section wire. Gaps e may be left between the portions d and c. The longer axis of the flattened section wire is set in the direction of rotation of the roller. The portions may be so arranged as to cause the portions d to extend in spiral formation around the roller.
