Abstract

A hazard warning lighting system is provided consisting of motorised beacons sited on a base unit, together with a number of lamps arranged in a symmetrical position, directed both forward and reverse. Whilst in operation the beacons and lamps can be arranged to light in a synchronised sequence of alternative sequences, and also at various speeds. <IMAGE>

Description

Bright-Light (Light Bar) A hazard warning lighting system is provided, consisting of a base unit on which is sited motorised beacons (being reflectors which revolve around a central bulb), together with a number of lamps arranged in a symmetrical position (A,B,C,D) to the left and right of the base unit, and facing both forward and reverse.
Whilst in operation the beacons can be utilised either individually or as a pair, whilst the lamps are arranged so that one from each of the four sets (A,B,C,D) is lit at any one time in sequence. The sequence is arranged so that the lamp lit is successively Al, A2, A3, A4, then the beacon sweeping from A4 to B1, reflecting light to the outside of the unit, and then B1, B2, B3, B4. Lamps Cl,through to D4 are synchronised to be lit at the same time as their opposing lamp i.e.
Al, with C1, A2, with C2, through to B4 with D4.
In addition, the sequence of lamps can also be arranged to suit the prevailing conditions and also the speed of the sequences can be varied.
