Abstract

A support for the base or for the apex of a folding-greetings-card comprises a pair of deep-grooved or slotted strips of rigid material hinged at their junction. The slot 1 is continuous over the hinge 2 which facilitates the stable setting of the hinged strips at any angle when a greetings-card is slotted into them. <IMAGE>

DESCRIPTION HINGED,FOLDING-GREETINGS-CARD CRADLE The hinged,folding-greetings-card cradle is a support for the base or for the apex of a folding-greetings-card.
The CRADLE comprises two deep-grooved or slotted strips of rigid material of any length hinged at their meetingpoint. The groove or slot is continuous over the hinge.
The hinge has a firm action so as to facilitate the stable setting of the hinged sections at any angle.
The groove or slot descends to a depth fractionally above the top of the hinge. The groove or slot is of a sufficient width to allow a firm grip of one thickness of a folding-greetings-card.
FIGURE 1 shows the hinged cradle fully extended in the front elevation.
FIGURE 2 shows the cradle in the base-supporting position.
FIGURE 3 shows the cradle in the apex-supporting position.
FIGURE 4 shows the grooved slot.

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIM
    The hinged,folding-greetings-card cradle provides the means for supporting the base or apex of a foldinggreetings-card by slotting the card into the cradle and, through the cradle's angled position and its weight, thereby maintaining the card in a stable position when placed open on an horizontal surface.
