Abstract
An air-conditioned zone may be formed around a human body, either indoors or outdoors, by us of an umbrella construction (1). A heat or cold source (2) may be disposed inside the umbrella. The respective source (2) may be protected by a cover (3). The heated or cooled air may be circulated either by a blower (4) or by natural convection. <IMAGE>
Description
THE GENERATOR OF AIR CONDITIONED
ZONES AROUND THE BODY
This invention relates to the air-conditioning field.
This invention creates zones of cold air or hot air around the parts of the human body, according to the climate temperature, to maintain the body temperature constant, and for feeling comfortable.
This invention not only creates zones of cold air or hot air around the parts of the human body, but also this invention can circulates the created hot air or cold air around the parts of the human body.
I will use the word "Zone" to mean: space with three dimensions (x, y, z) around the surfaces of the parts of the human body, and the zones around the parts of the human body which will be filled with the hot air or with the cold air with the help of this invention, are existed between the surfaces of the human body and artificial surfaces, such as the inner surface of an umbrella, the inner surfaces of: gloves, shoes, shirts, jackets, trouser, the inner surfaces of a car of a baby, and simillar situation. OR: the zones may be existed between two artificial surfaces placed around a part of human body.
The circulation of the conditioned air (hot air or cold air) within the "zone" may be done naturally (ie by convection, radiation, conduction, and gravity), or may be done artificially by using a "blower". The word "Blower" here means: any device can force the air from atmosphere to the "zones". This invention is needed urgently for people whose jobs demand them to stay long times in streets in a very cold or a very hot weather (eg policemen and policewomen); and similar situations: like people working in farms under similar conditions. But this invention can also be used by any one seeks comfortable and wants to regulate his body temp. This invention can be used everywhere; indoors or outdoors, (inside houses, offices, in streets, in farms, and so on).
Now: I will describe the invention in details by the way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing:
The invention consists of: n 1 n: Artificial surface or surfaces, which must be at distances from the surfaces of the human body to create the "zones" "6" which will be filled with the conditioned air "5" (hot or cold).
In this example the artificial surface is the inner surface n 1 tt of an umbrella.
"2": Heater of Cooler, the heater will be used to get hot air, and the cooler will be used to get cold air.
The heater here may be one similar to that have been discribed in my invention (application No: 8628989 The Traveller's
Rechargeable Heat Bank) or any other suitable portable heater.
The cooler here is an ice-bag, or any other suitable portable cooler.
"3": is a cover for the heater or for the cooler, to prevent the heat exchange to happen while the invention is not in use.
"#": is an blower to be used to force the air coming from atmosphere to pass the heater or the cooler and after that escape to the "zone" "6" (when the cover "3" is removed. (This is in case of not depending on the natural circulation of air by the means of gravity, conduction, radiation, and convection.
And how, I will explain how the invention (in this example) be used:
Step "A": If the umbrella is to be used for heating; the heater "2" must be charged with heat (I have explained in details in my invention, application No 8628989 how this can be done).
If the umbrella is to be used for cooling, the cooler "2" must be prepared to be cold before use; in this case an ice-bag is suitable to be used as a cooler.
Step "B": The cover "3" must be kept in its place when the umbrella is not in use to prevent heat exchange to happen. When the use of umbrella is needed, the cover "3" must be removed.
Step "C": To use the umbrella, it must cover the upper part of the body or the head, in the same way it is used when protecting the body against rain. Now, the cover "3" must be removed to permit the conditioned air "5" (hot or cold) to escape to the zone "6" to heat or to cool the head or the upper part of the body. The circulation of air can be happened naturally or can be done by the use of the blower "4".
Claims (9)
1. The generator of air conditined zones around the body which is portable and wireless, being used indoors and outdoors as well, for controlling the human body temperature to maintain it constant by seperating the human body surfaces from the atmospheric invironment with the use of artificial air conditioned zones, comprising created artificial air conditioned zones (when being in operation), means to let human body does the desired heatexhange, means to provide the streams of hot or cold air to the artificial zones which are created around the surfaces of the human body, means to control the process of heat exchange, means to circulate the conditioned air within the artificial zones. The circulation of conditioned air within the artificial zones may also be natural circulation.
2. The generator of air conditioned zones around the body comprising an artificial surfaces. These artificial surfaces act as boards for the artificial zones. Example of these artificial surfaces are the inner surfaces of an umbrella.
3. The generator of air conditioned zones around the body comprising a heater and/or a cooler which is the source of the positive heat or the negative heat needed for the heat exchange process.
The generator of air conditioned zones around the body comprising a heat store which may be positive heat store (hot medium) or negative heat store (cold medium).
5. The generator of air conditioned zones around the body comprising a blower which forces the air from atmosphere into the artificial zones as well as the ability to circulate the conditioned air within the artificial zones.
6. The generator of air conditioned zones around the body comprising a manual heat controller which is an insulator to control the heat exchange, permiting the heat to be exchanged only when needed.
7. The generator of air conditioned zones around the body comprising a container (for example a cylinder) which contains the source of heat (either positive heat or negative heat), as well as containing air ready to fill the artificial zones when needed with the aid of the blower, or depending on natural circulation.
8. The generator of air conditioned zones around the body having more than one outlet for the conditioned air to escape from the container mentioned in claim 7 to the artificial zones (for example: holes, as shown in the accompanying drawing.
9. The generator or air conditioned zones around the body subtantially as described herein with reference to the accompanying drawing.
