Kinematograph apparatus.-In shutters of the kind described in the parent Specification, the colour sections are separated by substantially colourless or white translucent sections; the colour sections may be sectorial in shape and equal both in size and density, and the translucent sections may also be sectorial and equal in size, either equal to or different from that of the colour sections. As shown, a master blade A comprises nine colour sections 1, respectively coloured blue or violet, green, yellow, and red, and arranged in spectrum sequence with a blue section at each end. The sequence of colours is continued in the compensating blades B, and one of the blades B contains five colour sections, and the other six. Colourless sections 2 separate the colour sections, and the sections in the blades B may be smaller than those in the blade A. The colour sections may be enclosed between two sheets of colourless material of which one or both may have frosted surfaces. The material employed may be mica, non-inflammable celluloid, gelatine, glass, or a combination thereof, and the parts may be cemented together. Modifications comprising only one compensating blade are described.
