Abstract

A greetings card, Christmas decoration or gift box incorporates a gift in the form of frankinsence and myrrh. The card includes a blister or bubble of transparent material containing a sample of each. A similar arrangement is provided for the decoration which is in the form of a card, which may be self-standing or be hung up. The gift box has individual containers for each sample and a star-like emblem illuminated by a light which is switched on by opening the box.

Description

SYMBOLIC GIFT OR GREETING PRODUCTS ihis applicatlo relates to greetings cards, decorations and guts.

A product may comprise a discrete amount ot Iranklnsence or myrrh associated with a card, in which the trankinsence or myrrh is presented to symbolise one ot the gilts which were traditionally brought at Christmas by the wise men.

A product may comprise discrete amounts at both irankinsence and myrrh associated with at least one card, in which the trankinsence and myrrh are presented to symbolise two ci the gifts which were traditionally brought at Christmas by the wise men.

In one lorm the product may be a greetings card to which the frankinsence andior myrrh are attached in a blister or bubble at transparent material.

In another form the product may be a decoration or set ci decorations, having frankinsence and, or myrrh attached thereto, and the decoration may be adapted to stand alone, or to 6e hung - e.g. from a Christmas tree.

In yet another form the product may comprise a box including one or more smaller caskets having trankinsencew and/or myrrh contained therein. The box may include a light source arranged to Illuminate a star like emblem, and the light source may be operated by opening a lid or the box.

In a preferred form an artifact of gold, or representing gold, is associated with the card atoresaid, to complete the symbols ci the three gifts which were traditionally brought at Christmas by the three wise men.

The product may be in the torm of a gift specifically for Christmas, or a gift specifically for a Christening.

Specific examples or products in accordance with this application will now be described with reverence to the accompanying illustrations, in which Figure 1 shows a greetings card, Figure 2 shows a set of decorations, and Figure 3 shows a gift box.

As shown in Figure 1, a Christmas card 10 has images ci three wise men, one of whom is represented as having a blister or bubble of transparent material containing a sample of trankinsence 11, and another at whom has a simiiar sample of myrrh 12.

As shown in Figure 2, a set of decorations 20 takes the rorm of profiled cards having individual images ci three wise men, one at whom has a blister or bubble of transparent material containing a sample of irankinsence 21, and another ci whom has a similar sample of myrrh 22. The decorations may have a card rib 23 outstanding from their reverse side, so that they may stand upright on their own; and/or a loop 24 of string or thread irom which they may be hung e.g. from a Christmas tree.

As shown in Figure 5, a gift box 30 has individual caskets 31 and 32 containing sampies of frankinsence and myrrh respectively. The gift box also has cross 33 with the appearance of gold, and a greetings scroll 54. The box may carry Christmas or Christening greetings.

m another form (not shown) an outer box has two small caskets containing frankinsence and myrrh, and provision for the addition of a small item of gold.

To enhance the visual appeal of the gift, there is a light source within the box which can be switched on by opening a lid of the box or by the use of a small switch. The light may produce two light beams, each of which shines on one of the caskets1 and then illuminates a star at the top of the box, which is a symbol of the star of Bethlehem.

Claims

1. A product comprising a discrete amount ci irankinsence or myrrh associated with a card, in which the irankinsence or myrrh is presented to symbolise one of the gifts which were traditionally brought at Christmas by the wise men.

2. A product comprising discrete amounts ot both frankinsence and myrrh associated with at least one card, in which the irankinsence and myrrh are presented to symbolise two ci the gifts which were traditionally brought at Christmas by the wise men.

3. A product as claimed in claim I or claim 2 comprising a greetings card to which the frankinsence and,cr myrrh are attached in a blister or bubble of transparent material.

4. A product as claimed in claim I or claim 2 comprising a decoration or set of decorations, having trankinsence andior myrrh attached thereto.

5. A product as claimed in claim 4 and adapted to stand alone.

6. A product as claimed in claim 4 and adapted to be hung - e.g. irom a Christmas tree.

7. A product as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 comprising a box including one or more smaller caskets having irankinsence and/or myrrh contained therein.

8. A product as claimed in claim 7 in which the box includes a light source arranged to illuminate a star like emblem.

9. A product as claimed in claim 8 in which the light source is operated by opening a lid of the box.

10. A product as claimed in any at the preceeding claime as dependant upon claim 2, in which an artitact or gold, or representinmg gold, is associated with the card a@@resaid, to complete the symbols or the three @@@@s wh@n were traditionally brought at Christmas by the three wise men.
