Abstract

A modular post guard has a single layer or multilayer impact-absorbing material contained in a durable outer cover which has the means to be wrapped around a post and secured in position such that it provides protection from damage to sportsmen, to sportswomen, or to animals should they come into collision with the post. The outer surface can be of different shapes and can provide single colours or multiples of colours in different combinations. The outer cover provides a surface for display of identification or advertising material. <IMAGE>

Description

NODULAR IMPACT-PROTECTIVE COLOUR COXBINATION POST GUARD Description Each module is made of a single or multi-layer shock absorbing material contained in a durableLcover made from canvas,tarpaulin,plastic,or such material.
The internal and external materials can be formed so that when wrapped around the post the outer shape can be circular,square,or any required geometry.
The post guard can be fitted to the post by a suitable means such as eyelets,rope,press studs,hooks,buttons, tapes, adhesives or by combinations of them.
The modular post guard can be fitted to the post,singly, separately, or can be joined together.
The post guard module can be made in different colours nab wing combinations ow colour to suit school,club requirements.

Claims (8)

  1. NODULAR IXPACT-PROTECTTVE COLOUR COXBINATION POST GUARD
    CLAIMS 1 A modular post guard consisting of single or multilayer shock absorbing materials (3)and(4) contained in a durable outer cover (2) made from canvas, tarpaulin, plastic, or such material.
  2. 2 A modular post guard as claimed in Claim 1 wherein the internal and external materials can be formed so that when wrapped around a post (5)and (7) the outer shape can be circular,square,or any required shape.
  3. 3 A modular post guard as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 wherein fixing means is provided by eyelets(l),rope(6), straps, press studs, buttons, tapes, "Velcro" (RTX) ,adhesives, or by combinations of them.
  4. 4 A modular post guard as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 or Claim 3 wherein the materials, sizes, proportions and fixings provide columnar self-support.
  5. 5 A modular post guard as claimed in any preceding claim wherein the outer cover is provided in a range of colours enabling combinations of colours (8) to be obtained to suit school,club,league,county,division,national,or international requirements.
  6. 6 A modular post guard as claimed in any preceding claim wherein a smooth outline and surface is provided.
  7. 7 A modular post guard as claimed in Claim 6 wherein the surface will be usable for identification or for advertising purposes either singly or in combnation with other modular post guards.
  8. 8 A modular post guard substantially as described with reference to figures 1 to 3 of the accompanying drawing.
