Abstract
A toilet seat is fitted with an internal air duct attached to a suction fan situated in a suitable position to ventilate to the outside atmosphere. The remote suction fan can be operated from the toilet and immediately starts to evacuate air from the toilet bowl.
Description
SPECIFICATION
Ventilated toilet seat
This invention relates to a ventilated toilet seat.
Toilet seats are normally constructed from a solid material. This seat is constructed with internal air ducts with a series of holes through the base of the seat into the air duct.
The invention is meant to evacuate the air out of the toilet bowl and ventilate it to the exterior of the premises.
The specific details of the invention will be described by way of example with reference to the enclosed drawings.
Drawing 1-1 shows the underside of the toilet seat with the inlets into the internal duct
No. 3.
Drawing 1-1 shows that the air is withdrawn through the two 22mm pipes, No. 1 and No. 2 which also act as part of the hinging to allow the seat to lift.
Drawing 2-1 shows a cross section of the ventilated toilet seat showing the internal air duct No. 3 also showing the ingress vents
No. 4 into the internal air duct No. 3
CLAIMS
1. The ventilated toilet seat is fitted with an internal 22mm air duct.
2. The underside of the ventilated toilet seat as claimed in claim 1 is perforated with a series of holes into the 22mm air duct as shown at No. 3 on the accompanying drawing 1-1.
3. The ventilated toilet seat as claimed in claim 1 and claim 2 is fitted with two 22mm pipes as shown at No. 1 and No. 2 on the accompanying drawing 1-1. These pipes can be connected to a powerful suction fan to ventilate to the atmosphere on the exterior of the building.
4. The ventilated toilet seat as claimed in claim 1, claim 2 and claim 3 is hinged by utilising No. 1 and No. 2 on the accompanying drawing 1-1 as hinge pins.
5. The ventilated toilet seat as claimed in claim 1, claim 2, claim 3 and claim 4 will keep the toilet free from odour.
