Description
SPECIFICATION
Cushion
The present invention relates to a cushion, and in particular to a cushion for assisting a couple during sexual intercourse and intensifying the pleasure obtained therefrom for the male.
The invention provides a cushion comprising a base and a nose portion, the nose portion tapering substantially symmetrically towards a front end of the cushion in a plane substantially parallel to the base and having an upper surface which slopes downwardly towards the front end at an acute angle to the base.
Preferably the upper surface comprises a generally flat land facing in the forward direction. Preferably the land is at an angle of from 40 to 60 degrees to the base, and very preferably about 500.
Preferably sides of the nose portion subtend an angle of about 400.
Preferably the nose portion has a iower wall portion at a front end thereof angled at an obtuse angle to the base.
Other preferred features and-advantages will be apparent from the following description.
The invention will be further described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
Figure 1 is a plan view of a cushion according to the invention;
Figure 2 is a side view of the cushion of
Fig. 1;
Figure 3 is a sectional side view taken along the line Ill-Ill of Fig. 1; and
Figure 4 is a front end view of the cushion of Fig. 1.
Referring to the drawings, a cushion 1 comprises a flat base 2 and a nose portion 3 which tapers towards a front end 4 of the cushion.
The cushion has an outer fabric casing made from panels of fabric which are stitched together. Any appropriate fabric may used, for example of cotton or polyester but a fur or synthetic fur fabric is preferred. The cushion is filled with a resilient filling 12 such as foam or a terylene blend.
The cushion comprises a lower peripheral wall 5 which is generally at right angles to the base but slopes forwardly at an obtuse angle, preferably about 140 , to the base at the front end. A generally flat panel 6 extends upwardly at the front end of the cushion at about 500 to the base curving over at the top 8 of the cushion. A pair of side panels 7 slope away from the flat panel 6 to the peripheral wall 5.
Side panels 7 are bulged slightly outwards by the filling material 12. Two rear panels 9 extend rearwardly from the side panels 7 to the peripheral wall 5 and are bulged slightly outwards by the filling material 12.
Preferably, the flat panel 6 is between 3cm and 7cm wide, and preferably about 5cm wide, the cushion is preferably between 20cm and 30cm high, preferably 25cm high, with the peripheral wall portion preferably between 6cm and 10cm high, preferably 8cm high.
An anti-slip pad 10 may be provided at the base 2 to fix the cushion in position. The pad 10 may be of plastics or any other frictional material. Alternatively weight could be added to the cushion.
An opening 11 is provided at the seam between the panels 9 to enable a vibrator (not shown) to be placed in the filling material to provide vibration to the cushion. The vibrator can have an integral switch provided therewith, or it can have a remote switch provided at the outer fabric casing of the cushion to facilitate operation. If a firm filling such as foam is used a cavity may be cut into the foam to accommodate the vibrator.
Various modifications will be apparent to those in the art. For example the cushion may be arranged with a flat panel portion 6 which can be raised and lowered relative to the base 2 to allow the cushion being stored with the panel portion in a lowered position. It is desired to include all such modifications as fall within the scope of the accompanying claims.
In use, the cushion is placed between the legs of a male laying face downwards above a female partner. The cushion is then brought forward to make contact with the male body by the male pressing his legs against the end of the cushion remote from the nose portion 3. The cushion does not need to make contact with the female body.
The friction applied to the body of the male by the panels 6 and 7 during sexual activity will assit him in completing the act and will intensify the pleasure obtained therefrom for the male.
