Abstract

A female breast massager has a steam generator (6) and a suction generator (4) coupled to a pair of breast cups (1). The base of each breast cup has internal and external walls defining a vapour space from which vapour contacts and surrounds the breast through perforations in the inner wall. During operation the steam vapour warms and wets the breast while the suction generator alternatively applies and releases suction to the cups to massage the breast. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Breast massager For some considerable time manywomen have used conventional breast massagers to improve their figures, regardless ofthe opinions ofthe medical world on the effectiveness of such breast massagers.
It has in fact been reported that such breast massagers have, in some instances, had beneficial effects.
However, such prior art breast massagers use a form of cream which does not provide sufficient lubrication to produce a quick desired effect.
The present invention therefore seeks to provide an improved breast massager.
Accordingly, the present invention provides apparatusforwarming and massaging afemale breast comprising at least one breast cup, a base portion of which cup is provided with inner and outerwalls forming a vapour space therebetween for receiving watervapourfrom a steam generator, said inner walk having apluralityofvapourholesforenabling passage of said varpour down said space into said cup for wetting and warming said breast: and a suction generator for applying suction to the interior of said cup for massaging the breast.
Brief Description of the Drawings The present invention is further described hereinafter by way of example, with referencetothe accompanying drawings, in which: Figure lisa diagrammatic perspective view of a preferred form of breast massager according to the present invention; Figure 2 is a cross-section through a breast cup of the massager of Figure 1; and Figure 3 is a schematic diagram ofthe air and vapourpipecircuitofthe massager.
The breast massager shown in Figure 1 is equipped with two breast cups 1, one of which is connected to a suction generator4through a suction tube 2 and an electromagnetic valve 3. The suction generator 4 includes an electronic timer controlling the on-off action ofthe electromagnetic valve 3. The timer alternately energises and de-energisesthe valve over a previously set time period, such as 15,20 or 25 minutes, the valve being energised and de-energised for example every three (or any) seconds. During operation, when the electromagnetic valve is opened (on) suction is applied to the breast covered by the breast cup, but when the valve is closed (off) suction is stopped so that the breast is released. The operation of the timer is a common electronic application which is not detailed herein.
The shape of the breast cup is designed according to that of the feminine breast. The suction generated by the generator4is applied through tube 2tothe inside ofthe breast cup 1, drawing air out of said cup which is pressed over the breast or releasing air into the cup, thus effecting a massage action on the breast.
As shown in Figure 2, the lower part of the breast cup 1 isformed with two walls, an internal wall la and an external wall 1 b defining a vapour space 1 e therebetween. The internal wall 1 a faces the breast and a plurality of vapour holes ororifices 1 cformed in it, preferably over the whole of its surface. The external wall 1 b has no such orifices exceptfor an extension tube 1 d for connection to tubeS which is coupled to a steam generator 6. The steam generator 6 produces watervapour by boiling water electrical[y and is equipped with an electronic timer that can be set to function in co-ordination with that of the massaging action to warm up the breast and stimulate the growth of new cells in the breast.
As is mentioned above, thevapourspace leis connectedthroughthevapourtube5tothesteam generator6 and also communicates with the interior ofthe breast cup 1 through the plurality of vapour holes 1 c. The vapour, being propertly controlled, contacts and surrounds the breast at a comfortable 50"C-60"C because ofthe small volume of vapour around the breast. The vapour also wets the breastto make massaging easier and more comfortable afterit penetrates the holes 1c into the inside of the breast cup 1. During the process of repeated suction and release, vapour permeates on the breast, making it sufficiently wet and warm to enable massage with satisfactory results.
1. Apparatus for warming and massaging a female breast comprising at least one breast cup, a base portion of which cup is provided with inner and outer wallsforming avapourspacetherebetweenfor receiving watervapourfrom a steam generator, said innerwall having a plurality of vapour holes for enabling passage of said vapourfrom said space into said cupforwetting and warming said breast; and a suction generatorforapplying suction to the interior of said cup for massaging the breast.
2. Apparatus is claimed in Claim 1 wherein said suction generator comprises a vacuum compressor and an on-offelectrnmagnetic valve controlled by an electronictimer.
3. Apparatus is claimed in Claim 1 and 2 comprising two said breast cups.
4. Apparatusforwarming and massaging afemale breast substantially is hereinbefore described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
