Description

SPECIFICATION Multi-purpose electric heater and turkish bath apparatus The present invention provides a multiple pur pose electric heater which makes possible the enjoyment of a cool bath, a hot shower and Turkish styled steam baths, and it is provided with a view to eliminate all the shortcomings found in a conventional electric heater and yield multiple purpose applications in view of the fact that conventional electric heaters, gas ovens are typically complicated in structure, expensive in costs, consume more power, and are available for just cool or hot showers only, as such failing to meet exonomy which in the modern interpretation means a machine available for a plurality of applications.
Accordingly, the present invention is introduced after years of working experiences and researches undertaken by the inventor, as a simply structured, highly efficient and versatile, power-saving electric heater, which is easy to use, and doesn't call for much space requirements because its function as a Turkish bath, may be suspended just by dismounting the plastic canopy for storage in summertimes when no Turkish baths are meeded.
The prime objective of the present invention, then, lies in the provision of a cylindrically formed electrical heater steam tub, which is in substance provided in a manner so that the depression lid is securely sealed and fastened with a safety fix ring so that the steam and hot water as contained therein may not gey leaked out, this complete with two level safety devices, one of which is linked to the flash warning lamp, the other in association with the alarm, to the effect that once the water level falls below the safety feed level both the flash warning lamp and the alarm will release warning signals and alarming sounds simultaneously to maintain safe operation at all times and in all occasions.
A further objective of the present invention lies in the provision of a water feed power control where by the power switch is driven once the water's incoming pressure exceeds a prescribed value, in structure it involves the incorporation of a check valve into a compression conductive control unit, this is composed of two oppositely directed disks inserted by a likewise round rubber pad having a convexoconcavo core, the center point on the concave side thereof being layed with an elliptical metal piece which will respond to squeeze a copper piece sourced ot the power, thereby turning the power active, if and when the rubber pad in the control unit is compressed by partially imposed water pressure the moment the incoming water passes the check valve.
A further objective of the present invention lies in the provision of a three-pass valve power control rod, which is of vital importance to the utlisation of steams, this control rod having an outstanding conduction link provided in the center, and which sets the invention apparatus to regular service state of a conventional electrical heater when the three pass valve control rod is set to the exit of cool/hot waters, but when and if it is intended to enjoy a steam bath instead, the externai incoming feed has to be cut off, so as to permit heating of waters existing in the tub alone till the temperature reaches a point beyond 110"C by having the power cut off by the function of the water feed power control, the same will prevail when it is intended to cut off the water supply, whereupon the three-pass valve power control rod will have to be set to the steam exit position, and the water heretofore stored in the tub will refrain from flowing out, when the heating continues to result in evaporation, the steam pounding pressure to be generated as a result of the water ing the tub failing to meeting critical pressure requirements owing to cutoff of water supply, will compel the steam to flow out whilst in the meantime as the control rod is set to the steam outlet, the outstanding conductive link mentioned hereinbefore will bear against the copper piece sourced to the power source, to bring it conductive, all this means that the power can remain conductive notwithstanding that the water supply is cut, so that the water prevailing then in the tub can continue to be heated till steam is produced by evaporation.
A further objective of the present invention lies in the provision of a safety steam filter bottle so as to further enhance the safety feature of the invention, which serves to filter out any trace amount of hot water of extremely high temperature entrained by the steams produced by the invention apparatus which might cause scalding injuries to the user, and which, if loaded with medical preparations such as agents intended to cure eye diseases, oral disease, other pains or to serve beautification purposes, can serve the curing or beautification, correctional purposes by application onto invalid parts of the subjet's body by the smoldering effects owing to the steams.
Other features and advantages of the present invention will emerge from the following descriptions of embodiments given by way of illustration, but not in any way, limiting, with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Fig. 1 is a general perspective of the invention electric heater; Fig. 2 is a side perspective of the cylindrically shaped electrically heater steam tub structured hereunder; Fig. 3 is an external profile of the water feed power control structured hereunder; Fig. 4 if an analytical layout of the water feed control demonstrated along the longitudinal setting; Fig. 5 is an external perspective of the eightshift fine switch structured hereunder; Fig. 6 us an analytical break-away perspective of the eight-shift fine switch structured hereunder; Fig. 7 is a circuitry layout of the indication system on the panel of the eight-shift fine switch;; Fig. 8 is an illustration of how the power developes relative to the heating tubes hereunder; Fig. 9 is an analytical perspective ofthe three-pass valve control rod structured hereunder; Fig. 10 is an illustration of the safety steam filter bottle hereunder as related to the fireproof, refractory plastic canopy provided foar the execution of a Turkish bath realised hereunder; and Fig. 11 is an overall illustration of the fireproof, refractory plastic canopy meant for the execution of a Turkish bath prldived hereunder.
Referring to these drawings it will be seen that the invention apparatus is composed essentially fo an electrically heated steam tub 2, an electrical heating tube 3, a water feed power control 4, an eight-shift fine switch 5, a three-pass valve control rod 6, safety steam filter bottle 7, fireproof, refractory canopy 8 for Turkish bath; the volume capacity of the electrically heated steam tub 2 is approximately 3,000 CC and the body thereof is housed in the casing 1, the upper end of the tub is sealed up with a depression lid, then fastened with a safety fitting ring 24, to the bottom of the tub 2 is fitted the electrical heating tube 3, complete with two level safety device 21, having two outlets one going over to the alarm 25, the other linked to the flash warning lamp, water supply finds its way through an inlet 22 to the underside of the tub 2, furnished with check valve 24, the other end accommodates a water feed power control unit 4 whcih has a polarity 42 incorporated to associate with the eight-shift fine switch 5 by way of a compression copper piece 41, and another polarity 43 provided to associate with the electrical heating tube 3, whereas the eight-shift switch 5 also has a polarity 44 in association with the same electrical heating tube 3 in addition to having another polarity 43 in communication with the control unit 4, such that the eight-shift switch 5, if turned on alone, will nevertheless fail to produce any current, more specifically, it is only through association with the other polarity 42 by way of the compression copper piece 41 owing to the water pressure that power come by in the form of currents way from the water supply power control unit 4.
Up the steam tub 2 are provided exits 27 of the cool water, of hot water, and of steam respectively, they are associated with the three-pass valve control rod 6 via water pipe 26 fitted by the tub 2, midway on the threepass valve control rod 6 is fitted an outstanding conduction link 61, which serves to bring the polarity 42 as related to the water feed control unit 4 to conduction, thereupon to bring about heating effects when the water feed is suspended but it is intended to produce steams while the power is kept off.
A main feature of the eight-shift fine switch 5 lies in the provision of a rotation shaft 51 representative of the adjustment indication such that an indicator representing switching in the first shift will illuminate in synchronism with conduction of the first heating pipe, os would be better understood by reference to Fig. 5 and Fig. 7.As the rotation shaft 51 transits from the first switching to the second switching, an indicator 57 for the second shift will evince too, while in the meantime the indicator 57 for the first shift will remain illuminating as well, now when it turns out that the rotation shaft 51 shifts to the position of the second shift switch, flange 52 will come into contact with guide piece 53 to activate the second heating pipe of which the power rate is 1.8 KW, as shown in Fig. 8, by inference it emerges at once obvious that when the third heating pipe of which the power rate is 2.2 KW is activated the third indicator (57) will evince too, the power rating for the fourth shift switch is 2.8 KW, for the fifth shift switch 3.2 KW, for the sixth shift switch 4 KW, for the seventh switching shift 5 kW, these turnign active when and if indicators 1 through 7 were all lit up.The eight-shift switch 5 employes a rotation shaft 51 on which are laid three parallel, aligned flanges 52 in the axial direction, discrete from each other in the setting, so that they can come into contact with three guide pieces 53 by means of the rotation shaft 51, these three guide pieces 53 are respectively the guiding means for the contacts 54 of each of the three heating pipes 53, of which the power rating reads 1 KW, 1.8 KW and 2.2 KW respectively, structured such that as the rotation shaft 51 rotates to a particular angle, a flange 52 thereon may come into contact with a selected guide piece 53, whereby the first heating pipe, rated 1 kW, is activated, in additon, because a conductive sprring 55 attached to the rotation rotation shaft 51 may transmit different leader joints 54 associated with the distribution panel 56, selectively by virtue of the rotation of the rotation shaft 51, to a specific angular displacement, the rotation shaft 51 in rotation may also transmit the conductive spring 55 concomitantly so as to bring these conductive springs 55 into contact with selected leader joints 54, so as to bring selected indicator 57 to illumination, agains as the circuits in association with the heating pipes are all cut off, the inducators 57 all turned off when the 8th indicator alone is maintained in illumination, the situation will be as if in a condition of zero indication, all the circuits off, no action whatsoever of electric heater, but if the rotation shaft 51 returns to the setting of shift 7 way from the setting of shift 8, then the heating pipes will all turn active, indicators all lit up, save that indicators 7, 8 will dim out altogether if the rotation shaft 51 is turned back to the 6th shaft, and so forth, in the case applicable to the 8th indicator.
The main function of the water feed power control unit 4 is to, making use of the check valve 23 that permits one-way filling of water only to the electrically heated steam tub 2, force, by means of hydraulic pressure, the ellipsoidal metal piece 46 in the centre of the convexo-concavo rubber pad 45 inside to come into contact with electrode 42 outside the steam tub 2, so as to bring to a conductive state, if the water supply should later come short then the convexo-concavo rubber pad 45, owing to sudden suspension of hydraulic pressurem will kick back automatically by dint of the elasticity of the rubber, there by getting rid of the electrode 42 on the bottom side of the steam tub 2, whereupon the power source is cut out, this in spite of transmission by virtue of the eight-shift switch 5.The outer layer of the rubber pad 45 is enclosed convexo by the concavo sides of two twinconvexo steel pieces 47, and fitted by screws 48.
The safety steam filter bottle 7 is a glass bottle with high resistance to high temperature, like what is shown in Fig. 10, steams blown out of the three-pass valve 62 is sirected into it by a highly thermo-resistant rubber tube 71, the bottle 7, will by-pass all unsaturated steams containing high percentage of moistures, and will permit placing of medical agents therein which, if sprayed upon with high temp vapors, will disseminate the smell of the agents together with their ingredients in evaporated form for passage in dispersal to the tub via a thermo-resistant rubber duct 72, or else straight to the invalid part of the subject's body, to achieve therapeutical or beautification effects.
That part of the invention device known as the fireproof, refractory canopy, typically made of plastic materials, for use in a Turkish bath realized hereunder, is to be applied as a cover-up over the household bath tub, like what was shown in Fig.10, the canopy 8 takes the form of a rectangular cube, stretched up by 12 retractable struts 81 differring in length, a zipper 82 is provided horizontally somewhere in a level proportional to the stature of a human being by the neck, thus providing a partitioning 83, the steam is introduced into the bath tub via a notched gap 84 on the canopy, the man is seated straight on a bench 85 disposed over the tub in a straddling position, the bottom of the tub is paved with a cross-bar skid, 86, which is necessary as the steam pervades in from the bottom for diffusion, so as to prevent the feet from getting scalded by the freshly introduced, and of course the hottest steam.
When a Turkish bath is finished, the fireproof, refractory canopy 8 may be wound up over a reel g, the reel 9 having a support 91 on either end for fitting to the wall surface of the bathroom, to save space for storage and to take another Turkish bath again later.
