Abstract
A video cassette display case is a rigid container 1, 2, 3, for storing and transporting a video cassette, provided with an internal display section 8, this display section is for the presentation of advertising, informational or promotional material, either on a permanent or interchangeable basis. <IMAGE>
Description
SPECIFICATION
Video cassette display case
This invention relates to a video cassette display case. Video cassettes are in widespread use throughout the United Kingdom. Video cassette cases are rigid containers of a widely recognised standard design, used for storing and protected use of a cassette tape. The external faces of such containers are also used to describe the contents.
The invention, a video cassette display case, is shown in the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows, in perspective, the video cassette display case with the lid open and a number of plastics wallets, affixed therein, unsealed at the top.
Figure2 shows the plastic display wallets in isolation, illustrating a book-leafformat.
All items referred to in text which are shown in the drawings are cross-referenced by their appropriate numerical coding, as labelled on Figures 1 and 2.
This invention provides a video cassette case, being a rigid container of such dimensions as to securely hold a video cassette, having a means of securing the lid 2 to the main container 1 on the side opposite to it's flexible hinging.
This being illustrated in Figure 1 as the fastenings lugs 4, their corresponding location holes 5, the positioning lugs 6, and their corresponding slots 7. It also provides a means whereby material may be displayed insidethecase, as well on it's external faces, having a number of clear plasticwallets 8 welded to the inside of the lid by their common spine 9, adjacent to the spine 3 of the case.
The wallets are designed to be utilised by industry and/or commerce in the presentation of promotional and/or informational material, whether pictorial, graphical or written.
Thesewalletswill be sealed on three sides but open on 1,10 and illustrated in Figure 2,to allow material fordisplayto be inserted; orsealed on all sides (not shown) after material for display has been inserted, thus providing a permanent display feature.
The depth of the video cassette display case will be of greater size than the size of a standard video cassette case in ordertoaccomodatethe aforementioned plastic wallets, whilst still allowing the case to be securely closed. The length and breadth of the plastic wallets will be smallerthan the corresponding dimensions of the video cassette display case lid in orderthattheydo notimpedethe closing ofthat lid.
1. A video cassette display case conprising a containerforthe storage and tranporting of a video cassette tape and a display section affixed to the inside of the container.
2. Avideo cassette display case as claimed in claim 1, wherein the display section is of book-leaf format.
3. Avideo cassette display case as claimed in claim 1 ordain wherein the display medium is open at one end to allow the insertion of material for display.
4. Avideo cassette display case as claimed in claim 1 or 2, wherein the display medium 13 is sealed after permanent display material has been positioned within it.
5. Avideo cassette display case as claimed in any preceding claim, wherein the body of the case is of greater depth than that required to accomodate a video cassette tape, in order to allow the case to be securely closed with the display section in position.
6. Avideo cassette display case substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawings.

Claims (6)
1. A video cassette display case conprising a containerforthe storage and tranporting of a video cassette tape and a display section affixed to the inside of the container.
2. Avideo cassette display case as claimed in claim 1, wherein the display section is of book-leaf format.
3. Avideo cassette display case as claimed in claim 1 ordain wherein the display medium is open at one end to allow the insertion of material for display.
4. Avideo cassette display case as claimed in claim 1 or 2, wherein the display medium 13 is sealed after permanent display material has been positioned within it.
5. Avideo cassette display case as claimed in any preceding claim, wherein the body of the case is of greater depth than that required to accomodate a video cassette tape, in order to allow the case to be securely closed with the display section in position.
6. Avideo cassette display case substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawings.
