Abstract

A golf ball locating device comprises an infrared or visible light source 8 and a light detector 6 located in a clear plastics tube 9. A shield 7 is located between source and detector, and light from the source which is reflected from a golf ball is reflected by reflector 5 to the detector. A hollow tube with handle grip 1 supports plastics tube 9 and contains a threshold circuit in sensor module 4, battery 3 and visible or audible indicator 2. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Golf ball detector Technical field This invention relates to a golf ball detector stick.
This device comprises of a light source either bulb or infared emitter and detector, fitted into the bottom of a hollow plastic tube, cocooned in a clear perspex (r.t.m.) ring, above or below or both will be a light reflector which in turn will focus any reflected light from the light sourse to the golf ball to photo resistor or photo transistor which in turn will be transmitted to the sensor module, which in turn will give you visual or audiable sound indication. This will be powered by d.c. battery. A handle grip will be provided to a portion of the detector.
Essential technical features According to the invention there is provided a golf ball location device incorporating a light emitting device adapted to generate a first predetermined level of light energy, and further adapted to detect a level of reflected light in excess of a second predetermined level of light, the reflected light being returned from a golf ball to be located.
