Abstract

218,837. Strong, A. July 6, 1923. Mop-wringers.-Two rods 10 are secured to the top of a bucket 7 and are provided each with a fixed clip 13 and a slidable clip 14 which form bearings for two rollers 15, 16. The roller 16 is moved towards the roller 15 by means of a treadle 21 which is connected to a yoke 17 secured to each of the clips 14. Spring means may be employed for the return of the roller 16. The bucket may be divided by a partition 9 into two compartments, one to hold soap and the other water. Instead of the treadle 21 a hand-lever pivoted to the bottom of the bucket and provided with a detent engaging with a rack fixed to the bucket may be employed.
