The permanent floor around a swimming pool is raised to provide a well (3) in which a temporary floor (4) can be supported to provide a continuous level floor including the temporary floor and the surrounding raised floor portions (2). <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Provision of temporary level floor over swimming pool The following description is given by way of example of my invention only and not by way of limitation thereof.
When providing a building 1 over a swimming pool, at the same time as the pool (or at a later date), the permanent floor 2 at the ends and the edges of the new building should be raised to provide a "well floor" 3 into which the temporary floor beams 4 can be placed to provide a level floor over the whole area of the building (for dances, winter solarium etc.).
Type of construction of pool is not critical as support for the floor joists comes from surrounding floor.
Figure 1 shows a section through a swimming pool before construction of the building.
Figure 2 shows a section through a swimming pool after construction of the building showing the raised floor after construction of the building.

SPECIFICATION Provision of temporary level floor over swimming pool The following description is given by way of example of my invention only and not by way of limitation thereof. When providing a building 1 over a swimming pool, at the same time as the pool (or at a later date), the permanent floor 2 at the ends and the edges of the new building should be raised to provide a "well floor" 3 into which the temporary floor beams 4 can be placed to provide a level floor over the whole area of the building (for dances, winter solarium etc.). Type of construction of pool is not critical as support for the floor joists comes from surrounding floor. Figure 1 shows a section through a swimming pool before construction of the building. Figure 2 shows a section through a swimming pool after construction of the building showing the raised floor after construction of the building. CLAIMS
1. A swimming pool, wherein the permanent floor around the pool is raised to provide a well in which a temporary floor can be supported to provide a continuous level floor including the temporary floor and the surrounding raised floor portions.
2. A swimming pool constructed, and arranged substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to Fig. 2 of the accompanying drawings.
