Abstract
Building blocks or simple short circuit clips are plugged into predetemined open circuit connection points or sockets 10 of a modular circuit board to provide various specific functions. The open circuit connection points or sockets on the modular circuit board are provided with words, numbers, or picturistic decals to indicate which specific building blocks or short circuit clips should be plugged into these sockets. If the building blocks are correctly piled-up, IC melody generators 11-15 perform specific melodics or specific audio-visual effects are provided in conformation with aspects of the piled-up shape of building blocks. The building blocks may be piled-up to form the shape of a human being, or to form the shape of a thing, e.g. a cake with a candle. <IMAGE>
Description
SPECIFICATION
Busic building blocks
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
In the cheerful stage of children growth, musical melodics always play an indispensable role, also evaditional building blocks, long since, to be considered as a most effective thinking opening and intelligence stimulating toy, because teen-age dreams of young heart can be fulfiled or achieved by piling up of these traditional building blocks into certain shape. In the micre-electronics technology fast growing 1980 century, playing functions of all children toys are expanded by micro-electronics technology but only traditional building blocks is an exception, it remains unchanged, therefore, it gradually lost it's importance. The purpose of the invention is to create a set of building blocks which combines the functions of electron musical melody ICs and the functions of traditional building blocks into an integrated one to allow children to piling up building blocks in accordance with aspects of musical medodics as well as to obtain audiovisual effects for the beautification of their teen-age world.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The creation is to assemble different musical
IC melody generators into a modular circuit board. On this modular circuit board, there are many sockets with printed words, numerical numbers, or picturistic decals respectively, and there sockets are used to receive various human being shape or thing short circuit clips as they are piled up by building blocks. When these human being shape or thing short circuit clips are inserted into their corresponding sockets, in accordance with the aspects of musical melody, the specific musical melody
ICs will be connected into circuit for melody generation, therefore, amusement and education purpose of the building block set is further expanded; for example, if the building blocks are piled-up into human being shape, cake and candle respectively, and pluged into their corresponding socket as indicated by decals, then happy birthday musical melody IC on modular circuit board will be connected into circuit, consequently, happy birth day melody will be performed and at the same time candle tip LED or light bulb of the candle, which is placed on top of cake, will become twinking by follow the performance of the musical melody, and creates a lively audio-visual special effect.

Detailed Description:
This invention utilizes various shorted circuit building blocks and a modular circuit board to achive multi-function combination. It emphasizes that various shapes as they are piled-up by building blocks shall be pluged into their corresponding sockets on modular circuit board to complete the specific circuits for the generation of corresponding specific audiovisual effects.
Circuits contained in modular circuit board, as shown in Fig. 1, consist of IC melody generators 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 (for performing of various melodics), resistor R6, 9013 NPN transistor 17, loudspeaker 18, and battery unit E.
Sockets 20 on modular circuit board, as shown in Fig. 2, are used as switching devices for selection of various melodics. Sockets 100, as shown in Fig. 1, Are connected in parallel with lond-speaker. Socket 101, on one side of modular circuit board, is a saved socket, it will be used for circuit expansion of modular circuit board. Sockets 10 can be directed with words, numerical numbers, or picturistic decals to indicate their different easy or difficult combintion variations for the inducement of children to plug short circuit clips into corresponding sockets properly.
The structure of modular circuit board is shown in Fig. 2. All circuits of the modular circuit board can be buried inside the board and only let sockets 10 to be used as open circuit connection points, loudspeaker 18 and transistor 1 7 can also be placed on a proper location of the board 1.
As shown in Fig. 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, each short circuit building block possesses any regular or irregular appearance of a traditional building block except electronic component (such as LED or light bulb of 2.5 volts and 0.5 watts) or lead wire is installed inside of it to make socket on one side and socket on opposite side of it to be connected together.
Fig. 3 shows two opposite plugs 21 and they ae connected together by a set of ring shaped conduction plate 20, also two opposite sockets 22 and they are connected together by a set of connection sleeve 200, but conduction plate 20 is not connected to conduction sleeve 200, this is one example of the building block short circuit clip incarnation. Fig. 4 and 5 shows that one or more than one electronic component (such as capacitor, transistor, light bulb etc) is connected by the lead wire inside the building block to generate a specific function when circuit is connected by this building block. As shown in Fig. 5, the exposed light bulb 25 are used to display their specific effects.Fig. 6 and 7 shows another building block incarnation, sockets 22 can be marked with colour, alphabat, symbol etc decals to indicate certain two sockets 22 may be connected to provide certain specific function, while the function of other two sockets 22 is different. As shown in Fig. 17, a loudspeaker 26 is installed inside of the building block 21, therefore, sound passages 27 are provided at the same time.
Fig. 8 shows a simple short circuit clip installed on two plugs 21 of building block 2.
The shape of above said building blocks and the design of their short circuit clips are only explained by taking examples, when the invention is implemented, all traditional shape building blocks or other geomentry shape building blocks are installed in various variety of short circuit clips to form sockets 22 and plugs 21 with or without conduction plate 20 and conduction sleeve 200 for piling-up biger short circuit clip of various human being shape or thing, when these biger short circuit clips are pluged into their corresponding sockets of the modular circuit board, the circuits of the modular circuit board are placed into conduction state to let specific melody generator produces signal, after amplification by transistor 17, this signal is used to drive loudspeaker 1g for musical melody performance or to make
LED, light bulb inside the building block twinkling by follow the signal variation.
For example, if 1C1 1 is a wedding march melody generator, and its corresponding sockets 10 are marked with proper alphabet, symbol, and numerical number, then the building blocks can be piled-up at the player's well, into boy and girl with wedding dresses plus a church etc, after the last two plugs of these combination are inserted into the corresponding sockets 10 of the modular circuit board 1, the wedding march melody will be performed and the church will twinkle with light. Therefore, through piling-up of various human being and thing combination with building blocks, and pluges them into different marked sockets on modular circuit board will lead different circuits into conduction state to produce various audio-visual effects, and the pleasure of children's piling-up toy is thus extended. The building blocks can be used to pile-up various shapes into a simple complete circuit combination to produce specific function when power is connected to it, or to pile-up into a complete human being shape, thing combination short circuit clips to produce specific function when they are pluged into marked sockets 10 on modular circuit board 1.
