Abstract
A alarm system has central control box 1 which with the lockable end cover 15 removed will accept one or more cables 8 by means of connection by jack plugs 6 and pin connectors 12. Securing the lockable end cover 15 permits access by authorised persons only. The mounted feed 4 and movable handle 5 provided the central control box 1 to be positioned either on the floor or hanging up. The detachable jack plugs 6 which will insert into any pin connectors 12 allows the selection of cable length 8 and eg application magnetic sensor 13 to be variable for individual installations. Reversing the installing procedures allows the mobile alarm system to remain portable for re use. <IMAGE>
Description
SPECIFICATION
Mobile alarm system
This invention relates to a Mobile Alarm System.
Alarm Systems are well known products which comprise of a Central Control Unit, from which one cable is wired to external device such as a Siren, Fire Indicators, Warning
Lamps, Pressure Pads and Magnetic Sensors.
This then forms a permanently Fixed Alarm
System. Fixed Alarm Systems are relatively expensive and when installed/assembled remain a Fixed System.
According to the present invention there is provided a Mobile Alarm System comprising of a portable Central Control Unit, which has detachable Jack Plug connections, allowing the
Central Control Unit to accommodate one or more separate different length wires, to suit individual installations and therefore remain adjustable and mobile.
The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings; Fig. 1/3, Fig. 2/3, Fig. 3/3 which:
Figure 1. Shows the Mobile Alarm Systems with the Central Control Box in position, illustrating the detachable wires each fitted with
Jack Plugs for connection or disconnection individually. The lockable end covers have been left off for illustration purpose only.
Figure 2. Shows the Mobile Alarm System illustrates the connection and disconnection of the detachable Jack Plugs to the Central Control Box from an end view with one lockable end cover fitted and the other removed.
Figure 3. Shows the lockable end cover fitted with Cables and Jack-Plugs installed and
Fig. 3 also shows the lockable end cover removed for connection/disconnection of Cables with Jack Plugs.
Fig. 2 Fig. 3 Both illustrates the movable carrying handle and mounted feet for hanging the Central Control Box or Floor Mounting.
Referring to the drawings the Mobile Alarm
System comprises of a Central Control Unit
Box 1, which will form a system by connecting detachable jack plug 6 with security cable 8 of varying lengths by cable 'sticker' pads 11 and 13 at the other end of the security cable 8.
In order to install the Mobile Alarm system the Central Control Unit 1 can either be wall or floor mounted. The security cable 8, fitted with detachable jack plug 6 can be inserted into any of the pin connectors, 12 fitted on
Central Control Unit Box 1.
The internal siren 7, can be used on it's own or extending the system by means of portable alarm siren 9 and portable alarm light 10 by detachable alarm lead 14.
The Central Control Unit 1, has detachable jack plug 6 inserted with security cable 8, secured by cable 'sticker' pads 11 and eg magnetic sensor 13 is applied. This then forms a circuit which when activated by the magnetic sensor 13, is transmitted through the security cable 8 and the jack plug 6, into the Central
Control Unit Box 1, which when activated either internal siren 7 or portable alarm siren 9, portable alarm light 10.
To remove the Mobile Alarm System the steps described above are reversed.
The lockable end cover 15, permits access to insert or remove the jack-plugs by authorised persons only.

EXAMPLE COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS
CONTRA CTORS/ BUILDERS
Working on various sites and having to leave equipment and materials unattended overnight or at weekends-stores, garages, lockups, portakabins, etc.
CARAVANS
Mobile homes where a change of site and application would suit the use of a portable alarm system.
OFFICES
Expensive office equipment, computers, cash, etc. Where office moves take place due to geographic relocation or internal move from local office.
HIRE CENTRES
Hire centres would have many uses for a mobile alarm system, which could be rented or sold to customers requiring a temporary alarm system.
ESTATE A GENTS/ PROPERTY MANAGERS
Selling or looking after vacant or client properties on a short term basis, this type of product would be ideal.
EXHIBITION STANDS
Companies with expensive equipment (eg video, tv, etc), who exhibit at various trade fairs, and need to leave their stands unattended overnight or for short periods.
FARMERS
Who need to have livestock, crops, feed, machinery or materials in store or in an outbuilding/barn would appreciate this product.
GARAGES
Particularly where they have a shop on site, or where vehicles/equipment are moved outside of the normal security range, for overnight parking.
VEHICLES
Vehicles where a fixed alarm system would not apply, but temporary protection is required eg hire vehicles, trailers carrying goods, or materials.
Other typical users of a mobile alarm system:
Kennels/Dog Breeders, Mobile Discotheques,
Garden Centres, Shop Fitters, Small Shops,
Offices, and Engineering Companies.
EXAMPLE DOMESTIC
Any house, bungalow, cottage, in particular flats where people frequently move and a fixed alarm system would prove inconvenient.
The mobile alarm system would be flexible enough to extend its system to suit most temporary installations.
For both commercial and domestic needs the type of application are almost endless, and only a few have been identified to explain the purpose of the mobile alarm system.
