Abstract

A device in an anchor windlass (1), comprising at least one warping head (4) which is provided with substantially conical side surfaces (4a, 4b), which can be rotated by means of an appropriate driving means, and around which warping head (4) there can be laid a rope (5) for the hauling in thereof via the rotating warping head. In order to prevent the rope (5), during the hauling thereof from being laid in double layer with subsequent blocking, the device according to the invention comprises one or more guiding arms (6a, 6b) protruding from the anchor windlass (1) itself, and being located such relative to the warping head (3a, 3b) that the rope (5) is guided towards the innermost side surface (4a) of the warping head (4). Because the anchor windlass (1) with the guiding arms (6a, 6b) constitute an integral unit, it can be mounted at different locations on a boat deck or a plank sheer of a boat independent of a separate permanently mounted bow roller. By means of a unique attachment means comprising fittings (8a, 8b) protruding from the anchor windlass (1) and fitting into corresponding cup-shaped fittings (9) on the boat deck, the anchor windlass can be mounted and demounted in the twinkling of an eye.
