Abstract
A displaceable road traffic barrier comprises a block (1) preferably made of neoprene, having a hollow interior (11) of which the top is provided with a hole (12) through which the interior can communicate with the outside atmosphere. When said block is collided by a car or the like the air contained in the hollow interior will be smoothly discharged to the outside through the hole thereof thus reducing the violent collision therebetween and providing a significant anti-collision effect. The block may be suitably positioned between a post and a crash barrier or positioned against a kerb edge to give protection thereto. <IMAGE>
Description
SPECIFICATION
An Anti-collision Seat
Since the traffic accidents are always happened in our daily life, the demanding for the anti-collision equipment disposed on the road to reduce the collision is increasing day by day. However, conventional anti-collision equipments usually are made of iron or concrete, which can hardly provide a significant security effect for the vehicle when said vehicle is collided with said anti-collision equipments.
It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to obviate and mitigate the above-noted drawback.
It is the primary object of the present invention to provide an anti-collision seat which comprises a seat preferably made of neopreme. Said seat is formed in its interior with a chamber of which the top is provided with a hole through which the chamber can communicate with the outside atmosphere. When a car is collided with the anticollision seat, the air contained in the chamber of said seat will be smoothly discharged to the outside through the hole thereof thus reducing the violent collision therebetween and can provide a significant anti-collision effect therefor.
It is another object of the present invention to provide an anti-collision seat which can be assembled according to the user's requirements.
It is still another object of the present invention to provide an anti-collision seat which is easy to fabricate.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide an anti-collision seat which is practical for use.
Brief Description of the Drawings
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention;
Figure 2 is a perspective view of an anti-collision seatformed by the seats shown in Figure 1;
Figure 3 is a perspective view of another anticollision seat formed by the seats shown in Figure 1;
Figure 4 is a perspective view of another preferred embodiment of the present invention;
Figure 5 is a perspective view of still another preferred embodiment of the present invention;
Figure 6 shows the anti-collision seat illustrated in
Figure 5 being secured to a security frame disposed on the road;
Figure 7 to 10 illustrate several different anticollision equipments consisting of the seats shown in Figures 2 and 3;
Figures 11 to 12 illustrate two different anticollision equipments formed by the seats shown in
Figure 4.
Referring to the drawings and particularly to
Figure 1, there are two kinds of seats (1) and (2) preferably made of neoprene according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The seat (1) of the first type is formed in its interior with a chamber (11) of which the top is provided with a hole (12) through which the chamber (11) can communicate with the outside atmosphere. Said first seat (1 ) is furnished at the bottom with an aperture (13) in which a metal washer (14) having an opening (141) formed therein is disposed. The seat (2) of the second type is formed into H-shape. Said second seat (2) is provided at its interior with a chamber (21) of which the top is furnished with a hole (22) through which the chamber (21) can communicate with the outside atmosphere.A pair of fixing members (24) each having a slot (241) formed therein are respectively secured to the recesses (23) of the second seat (2).
Referring to Figure 2 and 3, the first and second seats (1) and (2) can be arranged in such a manner that a plurality of second seats (2) are clamped between a plurality of first seats (1)toform a block.
Said block can be coated with neoprene material together with phosphorescent material to be served as a rectangular anti-collision seat (A) as shown in
Figure 2, or a round-edge anti-collision seat (A') as shown in Figure 3.
In implementation, for example, referring to
Figure 2, a pair of concrete blocks (31) and (32) are respectively secured to the ground while one end of the block (31) can be connected to the road partition (33) which is disposed on the center of the road to separate it into the left and right sides. Said anti-collision seat (A) is located between said concrete blocks (31) and (32). A pair of posts (34) each of which passes at one end through the holes (13) of the aligned first seats (1) and is secured to the concrete block (31). The other ends of the posts (34) are fixed by a metal block (35) which is secured to the concrete block (32) by means of screws (351). A pair of steel cables (36) each of which is inserted at one end through the slots (241) of the fixing members (24) of the aligned second seats (2) and secured to the concrete block (31).The other ends of the steel cables (36) are secured to the screws (352) disposed on the metal block (35). Thus, the anticollision seat (A) is fixedly mounted between the concrete block (31) and the concrete block (32).
Referring to Figure 3, since the anti-collision seat (A') can be disposed on its specified position by the same procedures as described hereinbefore, there is no need to repeat here.
Furthermore, as shown in Figures 7 to 10, the anti-collision seats (A) and (A') can be arranged in several different ways to achieve the anti-collision effects.
Figure 4 illustrates an alternative embodiment of the present invention wherein four seats (41) each having a chamber (411) and a hole (412) are combined together to form a block (42) which is formed at its center with a fixing aperture (421). The periphery of the block (42) is surrounded by a cylinder (43) preferably made of neoprene to form a cylindrical anti-collision seat (B) while the recesses (44) between the block (42) and cylinder (43) are filled with sand (45). A plurality of cover (46) are secured to the top of the recesses (44) to prevent the sand received therein from sliding out thereof.
Referring to Figures 11 and 12, the cylindrical anti-collision seat (B) can be secured to the ground by inserting a fixing post (not shown) through the fixing hole (421) thereof and securing said fixing post to a steel-frame disposed in the ground thus providing an anti-collision effect.
Figure 5 illustrates another preferred embodiment of the present invention wherein a seat (C) preferably made of neoprene is formed in its interior with a pair of chambers (51) separated by an aperture (52). Each chamber (51) is communicated with the outside atmosphere via a hole (53). One side of the seat (C) is furnished with a pair of flanges (54). Referring to Figure 6. The seat (C) is disposed between the security frame (6) and the security post (7) with said security post (7) clamped by its flanges (54) and is secured therebetween by passing a screw (61) through the security frame (6), the aperture (52) of the seat (C) and to the security post (7) for fixing said seat (C) in its specified position.
Thus, this can reduce the accident caused by the vehicle.
