Abstract

A method of transmitting interviews comprises recording the voices and providing a series of digital signals representing the voices, transmitting the digital signals through the telephone system, receiving the digital signals and converting them into sound waves for broadcast.

Description

SPECIFICATION Transmission of interviews Field of the Invention The invention relates to a method of transmitting interviews for subsequent broadcast by radio or television.
Often interviews are carried out and the voices are transmitted down the telephone wire for transmitting by broadcast. Often there is so much noise introduced over the voice that it becomes very difficult to distinguish.
Summary of the Invention According to this invention, a method of transmitting interviews comprises recording the voices and providing a series of digital signals representing the voices, transmitting the digital signals through the telephone system, receiving the digital signals and converting them into sound waves for broadcast.
Thus, in this way, less noise is introduced since noise has less effect on a digital signal.
This will have the effect of making telephone interviews on the radio and television sound much clearer.
Means for providing a series of digital signals representing the voices and for converting back to sound waves will be apparent to the intended skilled addressees of the specification without requiring any inventive thought.

1. A method of transmitting interviews comprising recording the voices and providing a series of digital signals representing the voices, transmitting the digital signals through the telephone system, receiving the digital sig nals and converting them into sound waves for broadcast.

    SPECIFICATION Transmission of interviews Field of the Invention The invention relates to a method of transmitting interviews for subsequent broadcast by radio or television.
    Often interviews are carried out and the voices are transmitted down the telephone wire for transmitting by broadcast. Often there is so much noise introduced over the voice that it becomes very difficult to distinguish.
