Abstract

The shoe (10) comprises a sole (11) and a vamp (12) coupled to the sole along the side edges of the sole, wherein the vamp comprises a flexible inner vamp member (15) and a transparent flexible outer vamp member (16) which covers the outer surface of the inner vamp member. The outer vamp member (16) is coupled to the inner vamp member (15) so as to form a vamp envelope for removably receiving a thin flexible vamp insert (21) configured to fit within but not necessarily to conform exactly to the confines of the vamp envelope. <IMAGE>
