Slide-rules.-The parts a, b of a calculating slide-rule are formed of a number of sections a<1>, a<2>, a<3> and b<1>, b<2>, b<3> pivoted together so that they may slide on one another, and may also be folded up. The ends of the parts a, b are connected by pivoted links l<1>, l<2>, l<3>. The links may also be used for calculating purposes. The connections between adjacent lengths may be locked by catches.
