Abstract

A method is for making an uneven-surfaced trim cover using an ultrasonic welder. The trim cover is formed from a three-layer body comprising a surface layer (1), wadding (2) and a backing layer (3) or hardboard. Ultrasonic welder horns are arranged so as to be in conformity with a selected given final shape in which the trim cover is to be formed, and the three-layer trim body (1,2,3) is pushed against the horn arrangement, and is subjected to ultrasonic heating, thereby welding the three-layer trim in its selected areas to form the same into its final shape. <IMAGE>
