Description
SPECIFICATION
The family clothes line
This invention relates to a multi family clothes line.
Multi clothes lines are well known, comprising a centre main post with braced outriggers, supporting a single line which starts at the centre of the outriggers then goes outward in a circular fashion, tieing in each of the outriggers.
Multi line rotary clothes airers, are expensive, inaccessable at the centre when completely full at the outer perimeter, cannot support the weight of blankets, sheets or larger items when damp or wet.
According to the present invention, there is provided:- erectable/dismantable posts, angle brackets to accommodate eye bolts, angle/post securing bolts, lines or line.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which
Figure 1 shows in perspective, the erected clothes lines
Figure 2 illustrates the assembly of the clothes lines
Referring to the drawing, the clothes line comprises a spigot post 1, which fits into a concreted tube 6.
Drilled angle 3, is then fitted out with eye bolts 5.
Angle 3 which has been assembled with eye bolts 5, is then bolted to post 2 with bolt 4.
Post 2 with angle 3, eyebolts and bolt 4 is then assembled onto post 1 spigot.
Lines 7 are then tied off to eyebolts 5, which are then tensioned to suit.
To dismantle clothes line, the steps above are carried out in reverse order.
1. A family clothes line comprising a main post set, means for securing posts to angle, eyebolts for tensioning lines, tube for concreting into ground, this also supports the whole clothes lines when assembled.
2. A family clothes line as claimed in claim 1, wherein guide means are provided at the base of the post to accommodate the whole assembly, also at the centre of the two sections of the main posts, this for easier transportation, assembly purposes, and to erect or dismantle the whole unit.
3. A family clothes line as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2, wherein catchment means are provided at the angle to post section, this to arrest any sliding movement or play in the connection.
4. A family clothes line as claimed in claims 1 or claim 2 or claim 3, wherein has eyebolts incorporated with the angle for tensioning the lines at equidistance to each other thus the whole will maintain equal balance when loaded.
5. The family clothes line substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1-2 of the accompanying drawing.
