Abstract

A plastic coated wire frame (Fig. 1) with towelling slip is of such a size and bent in such a shape as illustrated in Fig. 2 so as to support a baby's body at bathtime in a full sized bath basin or sink, freeing the hands of the person bathing the baby. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Easy bather This invention relates to a baby's bathing gadget to aid mothers at bathtime.
The normal means of bathing babies safely is for the parent to hold the baby firmly with one hand and wash with the other, but this gadget enables the baby to be bathed safely without restriction of its movement where allowing the mothers hands to be free. Although there are specifically designed baby baths in moulded plastic, offering support for the bathing process, these are nevertheless a bulky piece of equipment and do not have the flexibility or length of use as this invention.
Figure 1. Illustrates the 4-6 millimetre plastic coated wire frame bent into the required shape, at the head end no higher than 11 cm and with an aproximate length of 40 cm.
Figure 2. Shows the towelling cover slipped on to the frame.
Referring to the drawing the towelling cover is easily slipped on and off the frame in the channels provided as required.
When the towelling is in situ the frame is placed in the bath/sink and the baby's body is placed on the towelling, being fully supported and partially immersed in water to allow the bathing process to be carried out safely, whilst leaving the bathers hands free and maximum mobility for the baby.
1. Easy Bather comprising 4-6 millimetre plastic coated wire frame bent into the required shape with towelling slip for use in full size bath basin or sink obviating the need for a separate baby bath.
2. Easy Bather as claimed in claim 1 wherein channels are provided in the towelling slip for easy assembly onto the plastic coated wire frame giving a taught and safe platform on which to place the baby for the bathing process leaving the bathers hands free.
