Description

SPECIFICATION Portable mosquito incence container The present invention relates to a portable mosquito incense container, and more particularly to one comprising a safety cover provided with a stand for fixing the mosquito incense and a base provided with a plurality of triangular openings, characterized in that the container is able to be hung in any desired position without extinguishing the mosquito incense therein.
Mosquitoes are more dangerous to the health of man than any other insects. They carry four terrible diseases in the tropics and subtropics: malaria, yellow fever, dengue (breakbonefever), and filariasis. After repeated infections the worms may produce elephantiasis in man. Mosquitoes are vectors of many types of encephalitis and also the vectors of heartworm of dogs. A great variety of techniques are available to combat mosquitoes.
Against adult mosquitoes, they include repellents on the skin and clothing, fine netting around beds, screening of windows and doors, spraying with pyrethrum malathion or naled, and burning mosquito incense. However, the most economical method is to burn the mosquito incense.
Primarily, the mosquito incense is in the shape of a bar; but such kind of mosquito incense is not safe enough and cannot be burned for a long time.
Accordingly, the circular mosquito incense comes with demand. In order to safely use the mosquito incense, devices used to mount the mosquito incense are developed. However, they have the following drawbacks: 1) The known device used to mount the mosquito incense can be placed horizontally but cannot be placed vertically or carried everywhere.
2) Much material are required to fabricate the device, so that the manufacturing cost is uneconomical.
To eliminate the drawbacks described above, the inventor of this invention through many years of research and numerous experiments, creates a portable mosquito incense container which comprises a few component parts instead of many complicated parts required by the known device to mount the mosquito incense, and which is able to be carried everywhere by means of a hook; in other words, this invention is indeed a practical and valuable device for mounting mosquito incense.
A primary object of the present invention is the provision of a portable mosquito incense container which can be carried everywhere.
Another object of the present invention is the provision of a portable mosquito incense container for saving manufacturing cost.
Still another object of the present invention is the provision of a portable mosquito incense which is lightweight and convenient to be carried.
A further object of the present invention is to the provision of a portable mosquito incense container which may protect the man from being hurted by the burning mosquito incense.
A still further object of the present invention is the provision of a portable mosquito incense which may be hung in any desired position by means of utilizing a stand in association with a plurality of triangular plates.
Other objects and a fuller understanding of the present invention may be had by referring to the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, wherein: Figure 1 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention; Figure 2 is a front sectional view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention when placed horizontally.
Figure 3 is a front sectional view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention when placed vertically; Figure 4 is a fragmentary perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention; Figure 5 shows how to attach the present invention to a pair of trousers.
Referring to the drawings and particularly to Figure 1,the portable mosquito incense container according to the present invention mainly comprises a safety cover (1), a base (2) and a hook (21). Space (20) within the container can store several pieces of mosquito incense. Flange (15) of the safety cover (1) is used to engage with flange (16) of the base (2). On the top of the safety cover (1)area plurality of slots (17). At the center of the safety cover (1) is a stand (23), the tip of which is used to adapt to the eyelet of a piece of mosquito incense. On the inner surface of the base (2) are a number of triangular plates (12), thus forming the same number of triangular holes (11) on the base (2).Both the inner diameters of the safety cover (1) and the base (2) are slightly larger than that of the mosquito incense, so that the mosquito incense will not be in contact with the edge of either the safety cover (1) or the base (2). In other words, the mosquito incense will not be accidentally extingiushed. The flange )16) ofthe base (2) is provided with two holes (22) which is used to adapt for use with a hook (21). The hook (21) is made of a wire and is mountd to the holes (22) in such a way that its length may be adjusted. At one end of the hook (21 ) are two legs (211) the lengths of which are equal to each other, and at other end of the hook (21) is a crook (212).
To assemble the portable mosquito incense container according to the present invention, first insert the legs (211) of the hook (21) into the holes (22).
Then bend outwardly the ends of the two legs (211) into two feet (213), and then mount the label (3) to the base (2) so as to prevent the smoke produced by the mosquito incense from flowing out of the triangular holes (11). Cover tightly the base (2) with the safety cover (1) by means of engaging the flange (15) of the safety cover (1) with the flange (16) of the base (2). The portable mosquito incense container according to the present invention is now completely assembled.
The prevent invention can be place horizontally or vertically. When it is desired to place the present invention horizontally, first open the container. Then light up the mosquito incense, place the ignited mosquito incense at the center of the base (2) in the mannerthatthe mosquito incense will not be in contact with the edge of either the safety cover (1) or the base (2), and cover the base (2) with the safety cover (1).
To place the present invention vertically, first open the container. Then erect the stand (23) from the safety cover (1). Mount the mosquito incense on the stand (23) by inserting the tip of the stand (23) to the eyelet of the mosquito incense. Light up the mosquito incense and cover the safety cover (1) with the base (2). By means of the triangular plates (12) and the stand (23), the mosquito incense is tightly fixed within the container. The smoke produced by the mosquito incense will flow out of the triangular holes (11) of the safety cover (1). Draw out the hook (21), and the portable mosquito incense container according to the present invention may be carried and placed everywhere.
Although there is specific reference throughout this specification to "mosquito" incense, such incense can, of course, repel other troublesome insects.
The invention may reside in a portable container for holding incense for repelling insects, the container comprising a base and a removable cover, the base having a flat bottom provided with internal projections for supporting incense at a posiion spaced from the bottom, the cover having openings for releasing fumes from the incense, and support means on the cover for engaging with incense in the containerfor supporting the incense against the projections, so that, in use, the incense is not extinguished as the container is moved through different orientations.
The projections may be pressed out ofthe bottom of the base to form apertures, which are closed by a label secured to the bottom at the exterior of the container.
