Abstract

A disposable diaper (10), provided with adhesive ribbons (12, 12'), has a coded zone or zones (16, 16') enabling the precise adjustment of the diaper to the infant and/or checking the need for changing the size of the diaper in relation to the weight of the infant. <IMAGE>

Description

description.
Brief Description of the Drawing Figure 1 is a plan view of the diaper model of the present invention.
Detailed Description of the Invention The figure shows a diaper, 10, provided with a pair of adhesive ribbons, 12 and 12'. Diaper, 10, in this case the plan representation of the impervious, outer layer of a disposable diaper, has in the figure the rectangular configuration, but it should be made clear that the present invention is not limited by the shape of the diaper and that it can be used in any type or size of diaper.
Adhesive ribbons, 12 and 12', arranged, in a known manner, on the longitudinal, side margins of the diaper, near the back, transversal, terminal margin of the diaper, and any types or shapes of conventional adhesive ribbons can be used.
Near the front, transversal, terminal margin, 14, of diaper, 10, are provided zones, 1 6 and 1 6', for receiving adhesive ribbons 12 and 12', for closing the diaper. Zones 16 and 16' are provided with words, signs or indications allowing one to check whether the diaper was correctly placed and whether it is necessary that the baby starts using a different size of diaper.
Such words, signs or indications can be made by simple printed lines, by gradations with signs corresponding to the ideal adjustments, by colored zones, or by any other type of adequate codification.
It is obvious to those knowledgeable in the art that zones 1 6 and 1 6' can be provided in diaper 10, by numerous known procedures, either by shaping, thickening, etc. of the material of which the impervious, outer layer is made, or by the attachment by any type of adhesive of an appropriate ribbon, without departing from the scope of the invention.
It should also be made clear that zones 16 and 16' can be a continuous zone-for easy manufacturing reasons-having the indications, words or signs on each side thereof.
CLAIMS 1. A disposable diaper arrangement, comprising a pair of adhesive ribbons (12, 12'), characterized by having, on its outer surface, near the front terminal margin (14), a zone or a pair of zones (16, 1 6'), for receiving the adhesive ribbons (12, 12'), being provided with signs, words or indications enabling the correct positioning of the diaper in the infant and/or checking the need for changing the size of the diaper in relation to the weight of the infant.
2. A disposable diaper arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said zone or pair of zones is provided by a ribbon attached by an adhesive.
3. A disposable diaper arrangement as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said zone or pair of zones is represented by a continuous zone having the said signs, words or indications on each side thereof.
4. A disposable diaper arrangement as claimed in claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein the said signs, words or indications are represented by printed lines, or gradations with signs.
5. A disposable diaper arrangement as claimed in claim 1, 2 or 3 wherein the said signs, words or indications are represented by colored zones.
6. A disposable diaper arrangement as claimed in claim 1, substantially as described with reference to the accompanying drawing.

Claims (1)

  1. SPECIFICATION A disposable diaper arrangement Background of the Invention The present application relates generally to disposable diapers and, particularly, to a diaper arrangement provided on the outer surface of the impervious, outer layer of the diaper, with defined zones having indications which enable: (a) a precise and adjusted closure of the diaper, and (b) the recognition of the need for change in the size of the diaper in relation to the weight of the infant.
In the normal use of disposable diapers, it is common that the diaper is incorrectly closed owing to movements by the infant when the diaper is changed, which causes a mis-adjustment of the diaper to the body, with consequent disadvantages arising from the absence of thorough sealing and from discomfort to the infant. Such disadvantages may also arise from inadequacy of the size of the diaper to the infant's weight.
Summary of the Invention The object of the present invention is to provide a disposable diaper model that will overcome the inconveniences described above by providing a defined zone having indications or signs, enabling the tightened closure of the diaper and the recognition of the need for changing the size of the diaper. These and other advantages can be better noted in the following detailed
