Abstract

213,178. Lundin, H. W. July 14, 1923. Cable couplings.-In an expansion joint for single conductors, the conductors a are arranged out of alignment and are bridged by flexible connections c of sufficient length to permit expansion and contraction of the conductors. The joint may comprise a number of flexible connections or it may be a single flexible connection continued from one cable to the other any number of times. A perforated stop s may be fitted to one cable to limit the expansion movement of the cable. The coupling may be enclosed in a box &c. b having end plates x. Specifications 2195/83 and 12146/09 are referred to.
